For this full day tour, we will visit three incredible places that are completely unique to this area. As well as learning more about Costa Rican coffee, we will visit Poás Volcano, one of only seven active volcanoes in the country. We will then see over 100 species including rescued sloths and hummingbirds in the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. This is my favourite trip in the San Jose area, providing you with a great combination of picturesque scenery and the chance to get up close to many species found in Costa Rica.

Amazing experience, both our guide Danny and our driver Olman were great. Danny was a very cheerful and charismatic person making the tour more fun and exciting, he was also knowledgeable on things about the coffee plantation and animal center. Unfortunately we weren’t able to visit Volcán Poás because it recently erupted, but they did refund us the entrance we would had paid for it which was great. Overall very good experience.

Great way to get out of the city and see the beautiful rainforest. The waterfall park was incredible! Olman was a great guide!

This was a really fun experience! Our tour guide Daniel was wonderful. Only thing that sucked was that we weren’t able to see the Poas Volcano because it recently erupted. We still had a great time

Positive: Daniel was excellent in explaining about coffee, and the coffee drinks at the store were very good. Also, the Waterfall Gardens were impressive and well- covered by Daniel in explaining everything. Negative: The volcano erupted so we couldn’t go see it. Also, there was a lot of standing and walking, difficult for old people. But again, Daniel was exceptional in helping us and respecting our limitations.

We had an excellent day on this tour, and it was the main highlight of our time in San José! Our guide, Daniel, was outstanding. He was fantastic ambassador for the region, sharing his deep knowledge of the area, from the coffee plantations to the volcanic landscape, waterfalls, and diverse wildlife we encountered along the way. His enthusiasm and sense of humour made the trip even more enjoyable. The small group size made it a more personal and fun experience, since Daniel made sure to involve all of us in the adventure. The itinerary covered some must-see spots, and although I would have loved to spend more time in the coffee plantation looking at the processes to grow and manufacture the coffee beans, this is a well-rounded day trip that combines culture and nature! The views were fantastic and the food excellent. We got some free coffee taste samples, and had the chance to bond with other travellers in the group, which was an amazing plus. Finishing the day waving each other goodbye and sharing socials felt like an incredible experience after spending the entire day discovering wonders together :) Special shoutout to Olman, our driver, who drove like a pro and delivered us safely to every checkpoint of the trip!
