  • Great San Jose experience!

Very informative! Our guide Angel was great! Loved going through the farmer’s market and Central Market and learning all this history of San Jose. Lots of easy walking around town. The food comes at the end of the 3 hour tour so you may want to eat a light meal before you start if it’s close to a meal time for you. Also recommend you take a water bottle with you as there is not a lot of stopping at places to purchase anything. The only downside was the San Jose traffic! We stayed in Tarcoles and it took 2 hrs to get there and almost 3 hrs to drive back with all the traffic. Well worth it if you’re closer to San Jose than we were 😂.

First off, I booked this tour but arrived late because we got lost going to the meeting point. They graciously rescheduled the tour for us. Now on to the tour. What a wonderful way to learn about San Jose and taste and see what it has to offer. Our tour guide, I think her name was Dina( short with long curly hair) was excellent. We went to several historical sites, the central market, the farmers market, learned to make empanadas, tried tamales, and ice cream. We really enjoyed it and would absolutely recommend it.

Nice and chill enjoyable tour, got to eat various fruits and try new ones like Cas, Mamon Chino, and Guaba. Learned about coffee, the markets and the history behind it. At the end we got to eat tamales, ceviche and make our own empanadas.

Great downtown tour of San Jose. Loved seeing the markets and our guide Gabe is much more context than simply walking through them. The food tastings were enjoyable and my kids (17, 11, 8) loved it.
