Delphi was the cultural and religious heart of the Hellenic world. Set in a stunning landscape, once considered the center of the world, where, according to mythology, two eagles sent by Zeus to find the navel of the world, met. The site, once sacred to Mother Earth and guarded by the serpent Python, later became Apollo’s sanctuary, built by Cretans arriving at Kirrha (the port of Delphi) accompanied by the god in the form of a dolphin. Such myths were celebrated in the Delphic festivals, like the Pythia and the Delphinia, with music and athletic competitions. Explore unique monuments such as the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, the Athenian Stoa, and the Polygonal Wall with our expert guide, ensuring you don’t miss a thing.

The tour was all we were expecting. We departed on time and during the trip we had one 15 min stop before our destination. It's a long bus drive but the bus is comfortable enough and the driver was very attentive. Delphi is a nice way to travel back in time and we really enjoyed. Our guide, Georgia, was knowledgeble and told us about a lot of curiosities and stories.

Very nice. The drive is a bit long but not bad. We stopped at a rest stop along the way and bought a sandwich. The guide explained a lot along the way about the areas we were driving through. There are a lot of stairs to go up once you are at Delphi and high up in the mountains, so the air is a little thin. But fabulous views. Stopped at a little town on the way back. We chose not to purchase the meal option and found a little bakery to eat at. We had plenty of time to wander the town and take some incredible pictures. Definitely recommend anyone to go on this. The history and the views are incredible.

Our guide Angela was fun, friendly and very knowledgeable. Her love for the area was infectious and it’s not hard to see why… Delphi is utterly stunning. The 3.5 hour trip from Athens to witness it is totally worth it. We were given free time to explore and take photos in the site before being taken to a local village for a delicious lunch, time for shopping and exploring, before we headed back to Athens. We had a break midway the journey there and back for drinks, snacks and toilets, and the coach was comfortable enough.
