Arc de Triomphe
A unique viewpoint. From the top of the panoramic terrace, your eyes sweep over the whole of Paris. The revisited Antiquity. Architect Jean-François Chalgrin was inspired by the Roman Arch of Titus in a single arch, but went beyond it by exceptional dimensions (about 50 m high, 45 m long and 22 m wide) and abandoning columns. A key place of major national events. Wanted by Napoleon in 1806, the Arc de Triomphe was inaugurated in 1836 by French king, Louis-Philippe, who dedicated it to the armies of the Revolution and the Empire. The Unknown Soldier was buried at the base of the arch in 1921. The flame of remembrance is rekindled every day at 18:30.

Great experience to see all of Paris. Recommend going at sunset to see The Eiffel Tower light up! You get a great perspective of the city.

Super easy to get to. Do not miss this vantage point… it gives you perspective. Don’t use the cross walks, take the stairs down beneath the street… much safer.

Be patient and wait in the line for tickets as opposed to purchasing this tour. Getting our tickets through this tour worked fine and the recording was interesting, but I don’t believe it was worth the price. We also visited on a day when the crowd level was very low.

Views amazing in all directions. Unknown Soldier memorial is sobering. But stairs to the top are a challenge! Take the elevator

We did get in easily with minimal waiting on line, but the audio tour wasn't as robust as I would have liked and while the voiceover was good, the male voice pronounced multiple words incorrectly, so I'm not sure if it was poor QA or AI-generated voice. I'd pick another tour next time, but it wasn't bad. Definitely make sure you go to the top.
