Beware of last minute disappointments

1.00Best of Egypt Tour company was worst communicator and canceled the tour at the last minute when we were in Lobby. Our whole trip was planned based on this , but there was no response from operator till last moment and Viator tried and failed to reach him too. Be aware and stay on top of trip planning. Keep ask the tour company to avoid last minute disappoints. Try GetyourGuide , they have guarantee plans. In my scenario , Viator was also helpless . You spent time/money before 4 months still tour company was not able do their commitments

5.00I had this tour on November 1/2, 2025. My guide was in Luxor was Esraa. Since this was a private tour, she instantly established understanding of what I am expecting from the tour and personalized my experience, instantly. Overall, I am extremely happy with the experience, Esraa as my guide (very professional, friendly and knowledgeable), our driver, as well as the overall organisation behind it – absolute recommendation. The tour started on Nov 1 with me being picked up from my hotel and transported safely and on-time to the airport. The flight (got an upgrade to biz class) was very smooth. Once arrived in Luxor, I was instantly picked up by a driver and brought into a 4-star hotel, which was very nice. On the next day, I was picked up at 5am (sharp) for the ballon fly. Unfortunately, the weather was bad so we had to cancel the flight and I was brought back to the hotel, where I had time to get some additional sleep and breakfast. The company instantly reacted to the cancellation of the ballon and provided refund for this part of the tour. At 9am I was picked-up by my guide Esraa and our driver. The tour went very well and Esraa gave me very good insights into the different stops that we had. Since my return flight to Cairo was scheduled on late evening, tour company provided me with a room for the afternoon in a 3-star hotel where I could relax before being brought to the airport. Upon arrival in Cairo, a driver transported me to my hotel.

1.00We had a very disappointing experience. We were picked up from our hotel early in the morning and driven to the launch area where hot air balloons were taking off. Once there, we watched around 40 balloons successfully launch into the sky. After waiting for quite some time, we were suddenly told that our balloon would not fly due to “weather conditions.” This explanation made no sense to us, as many other balloons were flying at the exact same time and place. What made the situation worse is that we were left stranded in the middle of an empty field with no clear information or assistance. We felt completely misled and that our time was not respected. To make matters even more unacceptable, the guide who was with us literally ran away and left us alone without any explanation or support. Overall, we felt deceived, abandoned, and extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism and organization. We would not recommend this experience.

3.00The wait for the hot air balloon was too long. We were brought to the location at 5 am and were made to wait till 7 am. This is not acceptable. At least we could have slept some more. Also the hotel experience in Luxor was horrible. We were given rooms where the ACs did not work properly and even the showers, taps were not working. This is not expected in a 4 star hotel.

5.00First of all, tickets were sent to me and details were explained about my trip very specifically. We were put into a LUXURIOUS hotel with amazing food, breakfast included. Pick up from the airport and hotel were very professional and timely. The hot air balloon ride is a MUST. We had time after to eat breakfast at the hotel and the staff was all very friendly. Then at 9:00 on the dot, Mina picked us up with our driver. He was SO well informed about the history of Luxor. He also takes AMAZING photos! He even led us to see how Alabaster and Papyrus is made. After the sights and lunch and felucca ride, he ended the trip with a sugar cane drink on him. Do not hesitate to book the trip and do not listen to the haters!

5.00This was hands down one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was flawlessly organized, and that’s all thanks to the incredible team behind this tour, especially Marena and Mina. Marena was an absolute superstar. From the moment we booked, she stayed in touch and answered all of our questions promptly, and handled every detail with care and professionalism. She even upgraded our hotel in Luxor to the Temple Hotel, which was beautiful and offered a large, delicious breakfast after returning from our hot air balloon ride. Her thoughtful touches truly made this experience unforgettable. Marena ensured the logistics were seamless. A driver picked us up directly from our hotel in Giza and drove us to Cairo International Airport for early evening flight. When we arrived in Luxor, a guide and the local driver were already waiting outside the terminal with a sign that said “Nice Tours.” They even greeted us with thoughtful welcome gifts, which was such a kind and unexpected gesture. Our local guide in Luxor, Mina, was the heart of this experience. He was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for Egyptian history brought every site to life, and he took the time to answer all of our questions in detail. With him, we explored the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, Medinet Habu, Karnak, and Luxor Temple. His storytelling made it feel like we were walking through history. We also enjoyed a magical sunrise hot air balloon ride over Luxor, a peaceful sail on the Nile, and a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Every part of the day felt thoughtfully curated and unhurried, giving us time to truly soak in the experience. After the full day, Mina and our driver returned us to Luxor Airport. When we landed back in Cairo, another driver and guide from Nice Tours were waiting for us again with a welcome sign and even more welcome-back gifts. We were then driven back to our hotel in Giza, ending the day with the same smooth care and professionalism we had experienced throughout. If you’re considering this trip, don’t hesitate. It was an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience, and thanks to Marena, Mina, and the entire Nice Tours team, it was absolutely perfect. We left Luxor with memories we will cherish forever.
