The Marble Mountains
Marble Mountains (Vietnamese: Ngũ Hành Sơn; lit. "five elements mountains") is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ngũ Hành Sơn District, south of Da Nang city in Vietnam. The five mountains are named after the five elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth). All of the mountains have cave entrances and numerous tunnels, and it is possible to climb to the summit of Mount Thuy. Several Buddhist sanctuaries can also be found within the mountains, making this a tourist destination. The area is known for stone sculpture making and stone-cutting crafts. Direct rock extraction from the mountains was banned recently. Materials are now being transported from quarries in Quảng Nam Province. Marble Mountains was officially given the National Special Relic certificate by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on January 20, 2019.[1]
Son Tra Peninsula
Sơn Trà Mountain (Vietnamese: Núi Sơn Trà), also known as Monkey Mountain, is a mountain and peninsula range located on Sơn Trà Peninsula, in Sơn Trà district, Đà Nẵng, Vietnam, overlooking the Bay of Da Nang and the East Sea. Đà Nẵng Port's Tiên Sa Terminal is located at the base of the mountain's western face, as is nearby Tiên Sa Beach. The site is notable as a natural reserve and tourism location to the nearby city. The site is a habitat for many endangered species notably the Red-shanked douc langur, with over 60% of the species located on the mountain range.[3] In 1977 the site was designated a nationally protected forest following the takeover of the site by the newly unified government.[3] Currently, the site is undergoing significant and in many cases illegal development, with plots of land illegally being transferred to developers by local governments for constructing hotels and venues. Very fun tour! We got picked up from our apartment in Da Nang in the military jeep. Riding in the jeep itself was an experience; they removed the top partway through so it was very immersive, driving through the mountains We spotted the rare monkeys pretty early on and it was such a treat to just watch them. We went to some viewpoints, Lady Buddha, and Marble Mountains. Our guide Thanh was wonderful and even got us water bottles. He shared a lot about each stop we made and you can tell he’s very experienced! We never felt rushed. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time on this private tour. Opting in for the Jeep was well worth it, especially when driving through the jungle. We really enjoyed seeing the monkeys, was the highlight for me! I’ve always preferred private tours because you really get to have an intimate experience and not have to worry so much about the crowds. Thank you guys!

We took a morning jeep tour as a family of 4 with 2 young kids (ages 7 and 5) and we can say this tour did not disappoint. It was a tour we wont forget. The time flew by and tour was enjoyable looking for monkeys and visiting the sights of monkey mountain and Lady Budha. Tour guide and driver were friendly. I would strongly recommend everyone to take this tour.

Thanh and the team were excellent. He knew his history and was very informative, we had a fantastic morning exploring the monkey mountain in one of the original American army jeeps. We visited the lady Buddha standing 85m high overlooking De Nang then we went to marble mountain where we we able to see first hand the amazing sculptures and culture of Vietnam and the old town. Thanh was an excellent tour guide with heaps of knowledge - highly recommend Excellent value for $$

The tour was exceptional. Driving around beautiful Danang and up monkey mountain in the US army jeeps was surreal. Our tour guide had a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area and provided us with a great food recommendation on our way home. A must do if in the Danang area.

An unexpected day turned out beautifully. We booked same day. The US Jeep was a trip to the past and cool to ride around in. Up to our first peak to overlook Da Nang. Then to the 65 m Buddha and finished at Marble Mountain.
