Your adventure begins with a personal greeting at your ship/hotel. From our meeting point, your group boards our Mercedes Sprinter Land Yacht to take you on the 25-minute ride to Auke Bay. Here, you meet your captain and board the only whale watching yacht in Southeast Alaska. Once we’re on the water, keep your eyes peeled for humpback whales and other world-class wildlife like orcas, bald eagles, harbor seals, Steller sea lions, and even the occasional brown or black bear. Our master captain and expert naturalist take you to the best locations and share their local knowledge on the area and its wildlife.

5.00Great time getting to see whales for the first time. Shannon and Taylor were great at answering our many questions and getting us in a position to see whales. More importantly, they made sure to protect the wildlife and keep us at a safe distance where we did. It disturb nature.

5.00We had an amazing late afternoon whale watch with captain Sergio and naturalist Raina. We had amazing weather, and were lucky to see a pod of Orcas who were putting on a show for us, and several humpback whales and some sea lions. We have done many whale watches but this was our first "luxury" tour and it did not disappoint. The captain did a great job positioning us with great views of the whales out the open back of the yacht, and it was comfortable and easy for the group of 8 adults to move around to get great photos and videos. The marina location in Auke Bay (north of Juneau was also great and afforded nice views of the Mendenhall glacier as we started the tour.

5.00Alaska Luxury Tours is THE BEST. We were picked up from the Juneau port to Auke Bay Harbor, in a luxury sprinter van. We boarded FORAGE, met Captain Patrick and our marine expert Shannon and took off to find some whales. The boat is a Beautifly and comfy ride. The hospitality -- beer, wine, charcuterie--could not have been better. Shannon's knowledge of whales and all the other mammals and birds was incredible and she knew the names for all of the whales we saw. Captain Patrick took us to a group of 8 whales feeding and kept locating and taking us to whales. It was an amazing trip and we thoroughly enjoyed the morning. Best whale watch excursion in Juneau with Alaska Luxury Tours.

5.00Trip today was amazing! Everyone was so friendly. Shannon, our guide knew some of the whales by sight and Patrick was a great captain. We were a bit nervous bringing two 5 year olds and two 2 year olds but they were so accommodating and went out of the way to make them feel welcome. Saw orcas (my dream!), humpbacks, seals and sea lions. Boat was extremely nice and they had snacks/drinks readily available. 12/10 recommend!!!

5.00What a great experience! Tamara picked us up at our ship in a beautiful Van and was so knowledgeable about the area, culture, history and wildlife. She took us to our amazing boat where Lisa and Brandon greeted us. Snacks and champagne were served and within minutes, we were seeing whales. We saw a lot of whales. Lisa said we were a rare trip in that we also found a pod of Orcas. Eagles were flying, salmon were jumping. Can't recommend these folks high enough.

4.00We took our family of 8 on this trip and enjoyed it very much. The driver and the Naturalist were awesome. The food was delicious and the drinks were a very nice touch. Our driver, Carter, was on time in picking us up at the ship and even drove us to a hatchery on the way back. He was great. The staff couldn't have been better. The boat in itself, was amazing too and just the right size for our family. Our only disappointment was totally out of their control and that is that we hardly saw any whales. That is why we are giving this 4 stars instead of 5. It was a very memorable experience but we only briefly saw whales barely appear and then they were gone quickly but we knew it was out there. Our hope for this expensive excursion was to see whales. We did get to see unbelievable scenery and enjoyed our time very much. We were just disappointed that the whales weren't cooperating that day, but again, that's out of the control of this company.

5.00Forget the rest, Alaska Luxury Tours is THE BEST. On July 8 Tori drove us from the Juneau port to Auke Bay Harbor. We (my sister and 6 others) boarded FORAGE, met Captain Taylor and our marine expert Shannon and took off to find some whales. First, the boat is a sweet, sleek ride and the hospitality -- beer, wine, charcuterie--could not have been better. FORAGE was operated safely and within minutes we were watching an adult humpback that actually surfaced incredibly close -- like within yards -- to FORAGE. To be clear, the whale came to us, not the other way around. Shannon's knowledge of whales and all the other mammals and birds was extensive and very informative. Captain Taylor kept locating and taking us to whales -- both mother Sasha and baby Cha Cha. She was very proficient in turning the boat to maximize viewing and minimize rocking. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and thrilling afternoon. You should not hesitate to book a whale watch excursion with Alaska Luxury Tours. They are top notch in all aspects.
