Private Tour to Taormina, Savoca and Messina starting from Messina

Starting from Messina we will visit one of the most beautiful villages in Italy (Savoca), famous for the film The Godfather (Frank Coppola), where you can visit the catacombs, the mother church and the historic Vitelli bar for 2 hours. Then we continue to discover Taormina, passing by the Ionian coast where beautiful views surround us, once in Taormina you will be waited for 2 hours where you can visit the historic centre, the Greek-Roman theatre, the shops with the best designer labels and taste the typical products Sicilians. Before returning to Messina, we will stop for 15 minutes to admire the view of Isola Bella (Taormina sea) and take enchanting photos. Upon returning to the city of Messina, there will be a small tour of the city of the Strait of Messina.

This was a nice tour but the reason I would not recommend is that it was listed as private. There were six of us plus 8 in another group with us. Their confirmation also listed it as private for their 8. They were nice and it wasn't a big deal but if I had recommended this to clients and it ended up being small group instead of private, they would not have been happy.

Our cruise included a stop at the port of Messina, and we had a fantastic time with this tour. Our tour guide and driver, GianFranco, was so friendly and kind! He was very accommodating for my elderly parents (helping them on/off the van, drop off/pick up at easy to reach locations) and even brought us a tasty pastry that is famous in Sicily! This tour overall was very relaxing, the amount of time at each stop was perfect, and the sights were amazing. Taormina especially was so beautiful. Overall, we definitely would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a solid tour with the highlights of Sicily!
