This tour is dedicated to North America’s history lovers and wants to honor 250 years of America’s history.
Old Québec is the perfect historic district to tell the story of our two nations. And 2025, the perfect moment to remind us of the historic events that shaped Canada and the U.S.A.
From colonial periods to the American Civil War, our 2 countries faced different political challenges and even waged war on one another.
The 18th century's French and Indian Wars and American Revolutionary War were the theater of high tensions between the then Province of Quebec and the 13 American Colonies.
However, the 1871 Treaty of Washington resolved all the claims and ended the conflicts between our two nations.
Now sharing the longest international border in the world, Canadians and Americans have been neighbors, friends and business partners for a long time.
Discover the common history of two nations in # 1 destination for history lovers in Canada.

Lower Town (Basse-Ville)
Present-day Rue de la Barricade (Street) is one of the few sites where the December 1775 American attack on Quebec City is commemorated. Benedict Arnold was defeated by British troops and local militia and was eventually repulsed to the US border days before the July 4th Declaration of Independence.

Luis was our guide and communication was brilliant about where to meet as we came off a cruise ship. He gave us a brilliant history lesson as well as a wonderful walking tour of both the Old Town and New Town sections of Quebec. Having a private tour is so much nicer than big tours as so personal and so much easier to manoeuvre with all the other tourists. Highly recommend!!

Michel Sirois's knowledge of the history of Quebec and its place in Canada was enlightening and entertaining. As a Canadian I think I learned more in our 3 hour tour of Quebec than I did in high school. Michel's charts and maps helped us understand and visualize everything that was in front of us. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody wanting to understand Quebec and its unique place within Canada.

My husband and I are not great "tourists" but thought it would be a good idea to have a tour to learn more about this gorgeous city. Michel was great! He provided very interesting information on the history of Quebec and an awesome walking tour of the city. Michel is very knowledgeable, a wonderful guide and an overall great guy. I highly recommend him!

We took this tour with our guide, Michel Sirois, and loved the history that Michel provided. He also provided maps and visual representations of what Quebec was like in the past and this enabled us to visualise buildings that no longer existed or to see where the buildings were located in pictures of the past. He communicated to us his passion and love for Quebec and we were impressed with the history of this fantastic city. Dallas and Susan Anderson Queensland Australia
