Was a very beautiful place to get the knowledge of how their life is in talk terms and to understand how the sex workers take care of themselves from health n being safe. Sad to read many many confessions. Wishing each a good future & life

Visiting the Red Light Secrets: Museum of Prostitution was a truly fascinating and eye-opening experience. The museum offers an honest, respectful, and thought-provoking look into a world that many people only ever see from the outside. I really appreciated how it combines history, personal stories, and interactive displays to shed light on the realities of sex work and the people behind it. Walking through the exhibits, especially seeing the recreated working rooms and hearing the voices of real workers, gave a powerful sense of understanding and empathy. The audio guide was engaging and informative, helping to challenge stereotypes while providing important social and historical context. It’s an experience that encourages compassion, awareness, and open-mindedness. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see a more human side of Amsterdam’s famous Red Light District.

When we arrived we were immediately shown the door again because one of us would be “too young”, (he is 22) and would be too drunk while we all had not finished a drop. When we asked for an explanation, it was not given, because sir did not feel like doing this, or starting a discussion.

Hello, first thank you to tinka. Talking about his profession with a very bad reputation. Or sometimes there's overflows. I admit that communication is crucial, so is frankness. They're here to survive. Despite the language barrier. I didn't know some brothels could look like this. To develop her libido. It’s not also but you have to see behind the scenes too. Danke

This a small, walk around museum with lots of things to see and read! It’s very interesting and there is an audio guide as you walk around! Slightly overpriced for what it was but would recommend.

I went there hoping it would change my perception of prostitution, but instead it only made me feel sad. From every perspective, it seemed like a nasty business - both literally and in terms of the girls’ well-being. You can sense that beneath the fancy cover, there’s a lot of toxic masculinity. Really? Men aren’t allowed to be sex workers in Amsterdam, where almost everything is permitted? so, only women should shown from those windows, so all the men would be happy and spend more money?? The only person who seemed to enjoy this profession was the typical russian girl on the audio guide - but I turned that audioguide off after just a couple of minutes. Her english was terrible, and her voice was painful to listen to. And honestly, why would you even need a russian on the english guide? It would have been much more interesting to hear from a dutch perspective. So, to be honest, the tour felt more traumatic than insightful. I would recommend to save money and spend them some place else where it’s worth it.

Extremely short and not all that informative of the history. Seemed dlike a recruit8ngnplace rather than a museum.

Definitely an experience that was both informative and an eye opener. Whilst not the longest visit, the price was adequate. It was quite busy when we went at our allotted time which hindered the experience a bit as it’s a small space which is fine but the amount of people made it congested so that you couldn’t read or see the information at times. Overall all though we enjoyed it.

Very informative and well-done. I had low expectations but I learned more than I expected and it was not as "cheesy" as I had expected. It definitely dispelled some of the common stereotypes and misconceptions.
