Close to the Devassa Mountain is the Wall of the Nine Windows, an aqueduct of historical value. The wealth of water in the parish of Santo António led to the construction of the aqueduct between the 17th and 18th centuries that overcome the water shortage that was then felt in Ponta Delgada. Above its arches — which are called "Nine Windows" — passed the water captured from the area of the Canário lake. The Wall of the Nine Windows was saved from progressive degradation and brought back to the former monumentality by the intervention of the Municipal Services of Ponta Delgada.

5.00Absolutely wonderful experience, I really loved everything! The gentleman was super, super friendly, always with a smile, very attentive and explained everything about the island in every detail. We were always treated very well and we always felt safe and at ease. You can actually see that he loves what he does and treats people with a huge affection. We loved the experience, I highly recommend it, it was unforgettable!

5.00It was an adventure from the day I booked until the day we did the experience,because it was our first time in the Azores and we initially marked for before the end of the year but then we saw it was going to rain and we asked Pedro to change us for the supposed sunny day. On the day it was supposed to be sun, there was wind, and some cold and clouds, but the will was so great that we did not give up. The experience was magnificent, from the natural beauty of the Azores to the careful choice of the route, to the place of the meal and the enormous sympathy and availability of Pedro, no doubt note if you do what you like and made our day more cheerful, warmer and longing to return either in May or October, very grateful for the experience Pedro wish you a lot of luck and to the next.

5.00Spectacular experience! Our guide was impeccable, I don’t know how it is possible to have so few reviews. We did other guided visits and there is no comparison possible, by far this was the best. We know the whole story behind every stop we made, curiosities and authenticities that only someone with a lot of love for their land and a lot of affection for what they do can convey. All the cars were impeccable, the guide was always attentive to our needs and difficulties and exceeded all expectations. It's really worth seeing the island with your own eyes. Thank you so much! We will definitely return to other routes. Success!!

5.00We had a fantastic time with Pedro! He was knowledgable, safe, and led a great tour. This is definitely an unusual way to see part of the island, and the sights are beautiful. Would 100% recommend, and very worth the money -- especially for a smaller, more intimate tour of only 6 vehicles. It was a good mix of on and off roading, although we didn't get quite as dirty as expected because the rain held off ;)

5.00Our host, Pedro, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Hubby & I had chosen single ATVs and never regretted it. The tour took us through small towns, past farms and eventually into woods. As our group of 5 total were all experienced riders, Pedro later told us that we got the extended tour of riding the full crater rim. With multiple stops for photo opportunities and information sharing, this trip was educational, interesting and most of all fun! We stopped at both the Queen’s and King’s lookout. I would highly recommend seeing Sete Cidade this way!

5.00We booked this activity but had to cancel as we realised far too late that our travel insurance didn’t cover us for quad biking or the buggies. However I’m giving Pedro 5 stars because he was really reasonable and helpful to us when he realised we were in a spot of bother about it. Having met him and seen the quads/buggies, I would say this activity would be brilliant for those who love cars and powerful engines. The quads and buggies are huge, very exciting vehicles up close. I would not recommend this for children; would say this is best for teenagers and adults (especially vehicle enthusiasts), and do check your insurance before you book! You will be travelling quite a long way across the island to get to Sete Cidades and back again, so if a second adult is behind the driver on a quad they will have to hold on to the handles for a long time. If in doubt about your endurance levels, book the buggies - they look fun too but you’ll have a proper seat. Hope that helps.
