On this tour, you will be in contact with nature in a unique experience on a active volcano and wild lakes.
Depart from your hotel and journey along the south coast of São Miguel before heading towards the Furnas Valley to experience its dramatic volcanic landscape.

We will start with a photo stop at the Pico do Ferro viewpoint for a great shots to the volcanic crater, followed by a soak at D. beija hot springs.
You will have the benefit of having a genuine local tour guide that will do all the driving for you while doing a story telling of the island.

5.00Gabriel was our guide and he was amazing. He had a perfectly tired arrival to our hotel, gathered us water and towels for our trip and we set off in a clean and safe roomy SUV. Gabriel navigated the Azorean countryside with ease as we drove up through beautiful farmland and through small towns to the overlook of our destination. He explained the flora and fauna of the islands and detailed the rich history of Portugal and its heritage islands. The tour of Furnace was amazing and the baths entry was smooth and easy. The facilities were well taken care of and secure. The baths were relaxing and calm and the hour and a half was plenty of time to unwind before our journey back to our hotel. 10/10 would highly recommend this intimate and romantic adventure!

5.00Thoroughly enjoyed this evening tour. It was a small group of 4 people. A little rainy at that time of the year but not that bad. May or June is better if you want to see the hydrangeas. The hot springs were interesting and furnas baths is a must do in Sao Miguel. Great guide.

5.00We had such a wonderful experience on this private tour! Gabrielle was incredibly charismatic and knowledgeable, sharing so many interesting stories and insights about the island that really brought it to life. It was the perfect way to start our time on Sao Miguel. It was relaxed, engaging, and a great introduction after a day of travel. The pace was just right, allowing us to unwind while still seeing beautiful sights and learning about local culture. Given the timing of the tour, I think adding a dinner stop at a local restaurant would make it even better. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the island!

5.00We had such a great time at the thermal baths! It was so relaxing!! Our guide, Gabriel, was very knowledgeable, friendly and super interesting! We were heading to the mainland for a few more stops after Sao Miguel, and he even gave us information/recommendations for those stops! He was very organized and communicative from start to finish! Cannot say enough great things about him! This was definitely one of our highlights on the island. Thank you!!
