The museum was understandably crowded, it was a Sunday. The whisper devices didn’t work well, and it was difficult to always hear what was being said. They kept turning off and on, with static. Anna was a very good guide, taught us lots of facts we would never have known otherwise, gave us an appreciation of the stories behind the paintings.

Anja was very knowledgable and entertaining. Highly recommend. A good way to see the museum and you can continue on your own if you want to.

Very crowded! The tour guide, Martinas, did a very good job. She showed us through one section of the museum. There are 6 sections, and at first I thought “only one of 6 sections on a 2-hour tour?”, but it turned out to be enough. It was so crowded, it would have been hard to get through more of it as a group. Overall, I’m glad we opted for a small group tour rather than trying to go on our own. However, if doing it again, I would skip the museum entirely because of how overcrowded it was.

Our guide, Claire W, started ´guiding’ us, before we even entered, on the history of the museum. She explained well what we could expect to see in the 2 hours and listened to our wishes on what most of us were most interested in. She is knowledgeable in Dutch art history and also asked us questions that got us thinking and understanding what was depicted in the paintings and why. Art history was made super interesting in our guided tour. We wish the tour could continue longer. 😉 Thank you, Claire. 🙏
