5.00Our tour guide Max was wonderful -- personable and knowledgeable-- making our visit to the museum a memorable experience. He explained a number of the paintings and other exhibits, giving quite a bit of information about the paintings and/or artists which I had not heard previously.

5.00Having been to the Rijks Museum before I wanted to focus on 16th century Dutch artists, particularly Johannes Vermeer. Booking this 1.5 hr tour with Paola was everything and more I could ask for in learning about Dutch artists. I enjoyed hearing what she saw in Vermeer paintings that I hadn’t considered. Paola has a strong background in art and shared her knowledge with me and my husband. She was especially helpful explaining the restoration process of Rembrandts ‘The Night Watch’. I would highly recommend booking this tour. Thank you so much Paola! PS… check out her children’s book she wrote in the Rijks museum gift shop, ‘The ABC of Amsterdam’. My granddaughter loves this book!

3.00I appreciated having a guide to take us through the museum but she was soft spoken and even with a group of 6 it was hard to hear her. It would be helpful if she always turned toward the group when speaking rather than toward the painting.

5.00Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Max(our guide) interacted with everyone in the group with ease. He brought up interesting points to keep the group engaged even for many of the group being laymen. Only suggestion for improvement was the tour had skipped the Milk Maiden which we had to go back and see after the tour. Felt this painting was one of the most significant in the museum. But overall a great experience.
