Son Tra Mountain
Fishing Village is our first stop. The village is rested right next to Monkey Mountain, most of the residents in this area are living on the ocean. They get up early to drop fishing net to the sea and collect very fresh fishes and squids for seafood market nearby. The popular boat most of the fishermen use is basketboat. It is made of bamboo which is available in Viet Nam and durable as well as friendly to the environment. We will learn about how they make one and might have a conversation with one of a fisherman there.
Linh Ung Pagoda
The pagoda was built in 2009 as one of the symbols of Da Nang. There is 67m high lady buddha stands on the edge of the mountain, she faces the ocean and local people often visit her to pray for her protection toward Da Nang city. In here, we will have chance to learn about Vietnamese religion and visit the most spectacular pagoda in the central of Viet Nam

This motorbike tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Da Nang. Everything was perfectly organized and full of local charm. Riding through Da Nang on the back of a motorbike gave me a whole new perspective of the city — from bustling streets and colorful markets to peaceful coastal roads and hidden local spots I never would’ve found on my own. Bao was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He shared so many fascinating stories about Da Nang’s history, culture, and everyday life, and you could really tell how passionate he was about his city. I’d recommend this tour to anyone visiting Da Nang — whether you’re a solo traveler, couple, or small group. It’s the perfect way to experience the city like a local and learn from someone who truly loves what they do.

After booking, I received a message from the team. They were very kind and asked about my food restrictions, which they felt they might want to know for snacks. As I'm vegan, I was very pleased by their inquiry. I was incredibly lucky with the weather on my trip at this time of the year. I traveled with Cillian, who was very kind and friendly. He was able to tell me a lot about the places we visited and answered all my questions, even the more unusual ones. He took plenty of time to explain everything to me, showed me how things work, explained the unique aspects of Da Nang, and also gave me many insights into Vietnamese culture in general. The places we visited were beautiful. We drove from the Lady Buddha statue to the vicinity of Ghềnh Bàng. There, we saw some monkeys and walked a short distance towards the InterContinental Resort. After that, we had to turn back and take a different route to the Peak, which unfortunately was closed on the day we were there. I especially recommend this tour, if there was no storm just before, that could lead to a landslide and following road closure :D We drove to a viewpoint overlooking the city and then continued on to the fishing boats. Afterward, we ate at a (vegan!) restaurant. Finally, we arrived back at our meeting point. I highly recommend this tour. You gain valuable insights and see many beautiful places that you might miss otherwise.

I had a trip with Cillian, he is so charming guide, talkative and has a tons of positivity! We drove through few spots that we available due to weather conditions, but in any case he made a trip unforgettable… Spotted a various monkeys that inhabit an island. Cillian told me a different history inputs during our tour. So I strongly recommend to book him as a personal guide!!!

This is a great way to spend the morning, seeing much of the scenery outside of Da Nang, including a fishing village, stellar views and the Lady Buddha. Our guides were outstanding, giving excellent facts on history of the area and their insights. They were caring and attentive and made it very memorable. Water was supplied, fruit was tasty, and lunch was excellent at a small restaurant. Bikes were powerful (needed on those hills!) and proper helmets fit us all (2 adults + 1 ten-yr old) Many thanks to Brandon, Alan and Binh for their care and attention - we will remember this tour and wish you all the very best!

I had a fun and memorable experience exploring the Lady Buddha site, Monkey Mountain, and the surrounding areas with my Scooter Adventure guide. The guide was not only knowledgeable about the local history and landmarks but also very friendly and engaging throughout the afternoon. His enthusiasm made the tour even more enjoyable.

Truly amazing experience! My wife and I booked this tour as part of our honeymoon in Da Nang. Our guides, Brandon and Bao, were extremely knowledgeable about the red-shanked monkeys we saw on the mountain - this is one of the only places in the world to see them in the wild, and we saw plenty (couldn't get any photos since the move fast and avoid humans, but take my word for it)! They also took us to the Linh Ung pagoda and Lady Buddha statue, several gorgeous viewpoints, and out to lunch for Banh Cuon afterwards. If you're visiting Da Nang seeing the Son Tra peninsula is a must, and I can't recommend this tour enough to go see it!

Our tour was perfect. It was personalised to our interests. We got to see so many different viewpoints and saw the red shanked douc on several different occasions at a close distance. Our guides also provided us binoculars so we could see them in great detail. We got to explore the less busy roads of the peninsula and a short trail down to a rocky shoreline. Our guides were experts and were so enthusiastic when speaking about the wildlife, especially the langurs which they had worked on research projects studying at University. A truly unique experience.

I can’t believe I forgot to leave a review on this experience. My friend and I went in Dec 2019. Sorry my review came a little late but definitely one of the most memorable trip I’ve had. You will see many viewpoints and one of the guide can spot an animal from afar and point them to you. They were so accommodating - we saw someone paragliding and asked the guide if could do it. The guide patiently waited for us to finish. They also provided lunch. Definitely worth it!
