Just beautiful, delicious and overall a wonderful experience! Antonio manages to form a super cooking team from a group of strangers. Enjoying the jointly cooked menu is a crowning achievement.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. Antonio was an amazing teacher. We had a lovely day at the converted monastery and prepared many delicious courses. I enthusiastically recommend this experience!

My husband and I did this class together with a mixed group of visitors (not a tour) so it was only 10 people, which made it even more personal and engaging. Antonio is a great host and a very knowledgeable chef. The menu was simple, delicious, easy to recreate at home. We learned several techniques for preparing meat and vege that we'll use in many other recipes. You don't undertake every process, so it's not a complex or technical class, but you are all are included in the steps (e.g. some items like dessert were demonstrated or combined for cooking). The venue is delightful, kitchen well equipped and we had the luxury of eating together outdoors (with wonderful wines provided). Highly recommend!

An unforgettable Sicilian cooking experience! I had an absolutely amazing time at this Sicilian cooking class. The instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and passionate — sharing authentic techniques and recipes that were both approachable and full of flavor. The class was well-organized, the kitchen spotless, and the overall ambiance warm and inviting. Every detail, from the ingredients to the presentation, reflected real care and professionalism. I left not only with new skills but also a deeper appreciation for Sicilian cuisine. Highly recommended for anyone visiting or wanting to elevate their home cooking

The Sicilian Food Lovers cooking class was one of the highlights of our week in Sicily to celebrate my daughters wedding week. Antonio was welcoming, knowledgeable and so passionate about all the local ingredients and traditions. we enjoyed the tale of the Moor Prince and Sicilian Princess. We learned to make some authentic dishes all while sipping on local wine and sharing great stories. Everything was hands on, fun and delicious. HIGHLY recommend to anyone wanting a true taste of Sicily!

This was a great class. Antonio was very well prepared, organized and knowledgeable. He was able to create a cohesive group out of groups of strangers. It was a lovely setting with the view of the sea for the meal we had prepared. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will cook at home with the recipes he provided because the food was so good. As a bonus, he also has some pottery available for sale from his former pottery shop.

This is a “must do” activity when visiting Cefalu. Situated in a villa high in the hills east of the old town (you need to take a taxi or drive) with terrific views over the sea. Chef Antonio was excellent, very welcoming and ensuring that the group of strangers mixed well and had a great day together. In our group, us Scots with 6 from the USA, two from Sweden and one from Slovenia now resident in Denmark. The kitchen premises was well equipped and we were all around a large square table watching and listening to Antonio. We mostly prepared the food, all Sicilian dishes, and Antonio and his assistant did the actually cooking. We made fresh pasta which was much easier to do than I had expected, however, much easier to do with a pasta machine. We had a break for an aperitif and later enjoyed our meal al fresco with some very nice local wine. We had a great day. Antonio has since followed up by email sending us his recipes which we intend to try out. We can’t recommend Antonio and his cooking class highly enough and it was a lovely way to spend the day.

I went alone but left with 11 new friends some of whom couldn’t cook at all and others who taught me new tricks. It was the fastest 6 hours I’ve ever spent and I’d take the class again if I ever get back to Cefalu.

This was one of the best activities we have ever done while traveling. The location was beautiful overlooking the sea in a clean, well stocked kitchen area of an old abbey ( although driving up the private lane was not an easy task). The chef was both personable and professional, answering all questions patiently and offering assistance throughout the day to a varied group from several countries. We learned quite a lot about local foods and the preparation of local dishes. The organization was superb and care was taken so individuals ate only the food they prepared. Pasta making included experience with a machine and rolling pin. The dinner was amazing and the company amicable. We highly recommend this to all ages interested in savoring the wonders of Sicilian cooking!
