Amazing experience! Gabe was an excellent guide. It’s a must do in Iceland. Brave the cold and just do it. The scenery is from another world. Do the Viking baptism at the end

Wilhelm was amazing. I have panic attacks and I'm claustrophic and he was so so considerate and accommodating. The views were amazing and while it was cold it was not as bad as I imagined.

What an amazing g experience! Filip our guide was the best! First class from start to finish! We were lucky and experienced this on a beautiful sunny day! The colours were amazing! Very gentle float downstream and swim back to the platform. We are all confident swimmers and snorkelers so very easy for us. Was fantastic to finish off with a trip to the hot springs which was a short drive away.

Stunning experience to go snorkeling in-between the continents. It's "just" (crystal clear) water and rocks and some algae but however breathtaking (and not only because of the temperature 😉). Our guide Wilfred did a great job and took some really cool photos.

This was such a different experience from any other snorkeling we've done, and well worth it. You need to calibrate your expectations (especially if you've snorkeled in tropical waters) for the water, for the setup, for the whole experience. First, the dry suit. Essentially you are wearing scuba gear. You can't just throw on a mask and jump in, you will spend 30 minutes or more getting into the suit, having the staff put on your gloves, headgear, flippers, and mask. You're going to feel like the Michelin man, but you will stay warm and dry. One big caveat, if you're not used to wearing this gear, it can be claustrophobic. One smaller caveat re.warm and dry: the gloves will fill with water, but your body heat will warm it up to a tolerable temperature. Your mouth and chin however are totally exposed and will go numb in a few minutes. It's actually not bad at all after a few minutes. As for the snorkeling itself, there's no fish and only a bit of plant/algae life, the real draw is the landscape and clarity of the water. They say you can see 100 meters (330 feet), and if there were lights down that far I would believe it. You can easily see that distance ahead of you, and the different colors of the water as you do so are amazing. You haven't seen such a rich, intense aquamarine color anywhere else. As for the landscape, you are essentially floating over a landslide that has filled the fissure with boulders. Our guide Jenii was great. She managed to keep everyone’s spirits up despite the cold and drizzly day and (along with the other staff) made the gearing up/down as painless as possible. Some other thoughts: Book a time early in the day. We ended up waiting at the put in for about 10-15 minutes because there were multiple groups queued up. The vans used as the changing rooms get crowded and chaotic. Plan to be there for about 3 hours. Laugarvatn Fontana afterwards is a great contrast, and there's no rush once you're there (for those that do the self drive option anyway, if you do the pickup you'll still be on a schedule).

The snorkeling part was amazing, our guide (Denise) explained everything in a fun, useful and clear way, making sure everyone was comfortable with the suits and the activity in general. As it was my first time snorkeling it really helped to make me feel safe and calm. I loved the experience (and the hot cocoa and cookies) and I was really glad to have Denise as a guide. The second part of the Tour was at the laguna, it's a very relaxing experience and it's very well organized! Overall I really enjoyed this Tour and I recommend it!
