Gorgeous boating day around Capri. Our guide, Michele, did a fantastic job and was charming the entire time. We approached Capri from the dock at Lubrense. We circled the island while our guide pointed out the most interesting bits. We stopped for a little swim before docking at Marina Piccolo which is NOT the main dock but seemed much less crowded. Once on the island, we had 4 hours of free time which we elected to grab a leisurely lunch away from the crowds and slowly make our way back downhill to the dock.

We are traveling with 3 little kids, one with a disability. I booked this excursion SPECIFICALLY because it did NOT stop at the blue grotto, knowing that my kids cannot handle a 2 hour wait in line. We also selected to be picked up from our hotel. The day before I get a message that we are to meet at the port. I reply letting them know we requested hotel pick up (and sent my confirmation email). They stated we need to walk down to the port to help them avoid traffic. Ok, fine. We get there at 7:45 am and get on the boat. As we depart, the captain announces we are on the way to the blue grotto and hopefully won’t wait more than 1.5-2 hours. At that point, we were very confused. They asked to see our confirmation emails. They called the office, etc. It turns out, this company sold our tour to the charter company and didn’t let them know we booked a completely different trip. After waiting at the blue grotto for 15 min, the captain was nice enough to ask if we want to be dropped off at Capri and cancel the tour. He stated he cannot hold us hostage waiting for hours for something we didn’t want. We agreed and he took us back. We spent the day on capri and then booked the ferry to take us back (what we were trying to avoid all along). I texted the company 3 times with updates and asking for a refund, and they didn’t reply to a single message. I have requested a refund from Viator and still waiting. We booked a different company the day before along the entire coast and they were amazing. But this I cannot recommend AT ALL. Thankful the captain understood our situation and went out of his way to drop us off and save us from a miserable time.

Not worth the money. We did another tour 5/5. This one was a very expensive boat ride to capri. We took the ferry back for $19 each... the van ride was all over the place picking people up. The wait at the dock was almost an hour. The boat ride was nice and the staff were great. This just comes down to value... once in Capri you are on your own anyway so just take the ferry and save a lot of money.
