On this half day small group tour you will explore the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage site Waddensea. We will pick you up right in the center of Amsterdam in the morning and drive you through the beautiful Dutch country side: land claimed from the sea, past farms, villages and windmills. Upon arrival, we will board our ship that takes us onto the Waddensea. Because of its unique coastal wetlands and tidal system, it is a refuge for a huge number of animals, including marine mammals such as the harbor seals, gray seals and harbor porpoises. Then we will explore the Waddensea by boat at low tide, scouting for gray seals, harbor seals and migrating birds. After the boat tour you have time to explore the historic town of Medemblik, wander the narrow streets, visit the windmill, brewery or the castle, shop or have lunch!

The guide Sara was very good, followed us throughout the tour and explained a lot of interesting things about the city. The boat tour was a lot of fun, tour recommended!

Eva was amazing! She is kindest person I have met and went above and beyond for us throughout our trip! We are so grateful to you Eva for making our first family trip to Amsterdam a wonderful experience! We really enjoyed the tour itself, learned an incredible amount of history and saw seals! Thank you Eva!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Sarah, our guide, even picked us up at our hotel outside of the city center to start the tour on an easier note! She took us to the quaintest little towns on the way to see the seals, we stopped at a working windmill and got to climb inside, and had cappuccinos and Cokes at a cute little cafe. We walked a bit though the town near the windmill (again, very cute with an old rail station and historic buildings) and then had about a 20+ min drive to get on the boat. The boat ride is cold (bring a hoodie or a puffer jacket - some sort of extra layer!) but the staff were very welcoming and you can have a hot chocolate or adult beverage to warm up! The seals are super cute, but as expected, you don't get TOO close to them. They are also very timid of the people on the boat when they can hear you through the wind and they will scoot into the sea to hide. If you're a nature lover and like to get off the beaten path, this is a great tour - it's relaxing and you get to see a different side of The Netherlands! Thanks so much Sarah!

The "safari " was very interesting .The Wadden Sea is the largest tidal flats system in the World. This sea is listed by UNESCO as World Heritage We started from Amsterdam by car until HARLINGEN which is a beautiful small town .The people were very kind ,like everywhere in Netherlands. After that we go on boat and for 2,5 hours we sailed by the sea .There were a lot of birds in their natural habitat and what was for me the most extraordynary thing I saw a lot of seals .Beautiful !
