I had an amazing day trip to the Transfăgărășan Road from Bucharest, and our guide, Sebastian, made the experience truly exceptional. He was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Romania’s natural beauty and history. One of the highlights was seeing so many wild bears along the way—an unforgettable sight! Throughout the trip, Sebastian made sure we were safe, keeping a respectful distance from wildlife and ensuring everyone followed safety protocols. He balanced fun and adventure with genuine care for the group. His commentary was insightful and engaging, and he made the long drive feel enjoyable and comfortable. I can’t recommend this tour enough—beautiful views, wildlife encounters, and a fantastic guide who puts safety and experience first. Thank you, Sebastian!

Went a few weeks ago. It was quite amazing. Guide was knowledgeable on all the locations we went. We saw so many bears. There is not much walking and you'll spend most of your time in the van but the guide is quite willing to stop and let you take photos. We weren't able to visit Lake Bâlea because the road there was covered in ice and the risk of avalanches. But that's something they warn you about in the description. But the dam, bears, and mountain was amazing to see.

Didn’t see any bears, driver was driving very fast around the curves. The views on top are amazing though. May have to do this again in summer.
