We had a great tour today with Giovanni. The Gnocchi alla Sorentina was a real treat and the lemoncello tastings were so memorable we returned to the shop after the tour and purchased 3 bottles. Every stop on the tour was a taste of fresh and local flavors. I highly recommend this tour.

We had such a fantastic time on the 10 Tastings of Sorrento food walking tour with Giovanni Red. Giovanni is the real deal — born and raised right here in Sorrento — so you get genuine local insight, not just the usual tourist route. He was super relaxed, funny, and engaging throughout the tour. Giovanni took us to places we’d never have thought to go on our own, but they were clearly loved by locals — from a family-run deli to a little trattoria serving gnocchi that was absolutely to die for, and even a brilliant coffee spot to finish things off perfectly. You can tell Giovanni loves his hometown and takes pride in sharing its true flavours and stories. If you want to experience authentic Sorrento and eat like a local, this tour is a must. Giovanni is brilliant — can’t recommend him highly enough!

Not just a food tour but a tour of Sorrento's history as well. Gio was a great guide. We walked the town and experienced life on the side streets as well. The food was delicious at every spot-definitely felt we got the “local” experience. Thanks Gio!

Giovanni was a fantastic host. He was friendly, informative, personable, and had a great sense of humor. My family and I loved getting to know both Sorrento and him. The tastings were all fantastic and his recommendations were fantastic as well. Do this tour your first day in town and you'll set yourself up for an awesome time.

I cannot recommend this tour enough with Gianni! He was so incredibly thorough, taking us to some of the best hidden gems in Sorrento! We had a culinary journey with each stop somehow being better than the last. He mixed in lots of history and fun facts about the city as well as we were walking around! Lastly, he gave us some world class recommendations of other places to go and things to do during our time and they were all FANTASTIC recommendations. This tour is worth every penny with Gianni!

Our food tour with Gianni was absolutely fantastic and the perfect introduction to Sorrento! With just one other couple in our group, Gianni gave us a warm and personal experience, guiding us through his favorite local food spots and sharing the flavors that make Sorrento so special. Along the way, we also met Enzo, a talented inlaid wood artist, and later returned to purchase a stunning music box from his workshop—a highlight we’ll treasure forever. The walk was thoughtfully planned, blending delicious tastings with local culture and history, and it gave us the perfect foundation to continue exploring the incredible food and drink of Sorrento on our own. We loved it so much that we recommended this tour to several couples we met during our stay. If you’re visiting Sorrento, don’t miss this tour—it’s an unforgettable experience!
