What you will see: Urriðafoss: “The Trout Fall” is the largest and the most spectacular waterfall of river Þjórsá. It is also one of the most voluminous waterfalls in Iceland. A relatively unknown but a very spectacular and powerful waterfall full of beauty, an ideal place for photographers with beautiful surroundings. Seljalandsfoss: A picturesque waterfall. One of the most popular subjects for photographers. As water flows overhang, it is possible to take a path that allows going behind the waterfall. From there, the sight is simply divine. You will discover how fun it is to sneak and disappear behind the water curtain and be out of world for a moment. You will be dazzled by this magnificent site, the power of the water, the beautiful rainbows which go through the waterfall due to the sunlight and the vapor droplets. Gljúfurárfoss: This interesting waterfall is carefully hidden behind a narrow opening in the mountain. Listen the deep roaring, echoing sound of the falling water and become an explorer to find out this magical and intimate place which keeps the purity of a place out of time. Skógafoss: One of the most popular waterfalls in Iceland. An iconic symbol with a width of 25m and a drop of 60m. Getting so close to the base of such a large waterfall is a quite rare experience. You can also enjoy it from above : there are stairs that lead to the top. The view from there is stunning. Sólheimajökull : A popular branch of Mýrdalsjökull, which is one of the largest glaciers of Iceland. You can experience the natural contrasts of the region: vast stretches of black sand and craters which suddenly give a way to bright walls of white ice, with blue highlights – huge and majestic. Dyrhólaey: The name means “door hill island” in Icelandic. This curious rocky arm is piercing with a shape which forms a door, an opening to the ocean. It is also a natural parc, sanctuary of birds, where you can observe many species especially the puffins, living symbol of Iceland. Reynisfjara: this black sand beach is often considered one of the most beautiful in the world. From there you can observe the Reynisdrangar, these lava columns sculpted by the waters, which emerge from the ocean. Vík: It is the most southerly village in the country. Its church, a white building with a red roof located on a hill, proudly dominates the modest houses of this village. The ocean on one side, the imposing cliffs of Mount Reynisfjall on the other side. Its isolated location and its magnificent environment have made the character of the village. During the trip, you can enjoy the sight of the glaciers : Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull, Vestmanna islands and volcano Hekla. (Depending on the weather conditions).

We had an amazing super cheap tour of the valley with south coast. Our guide, Ingimar, was terrific. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and a total pleasure to be with. It was a really fun day. This is a must.

Adam was an excellent tour guide! He is very informational about Iceland and the natural beauty has to offer. You can tell he really loves his job. The south coast is breath taken from the black sand beach to the waterfalls. We even got to see Puffins pretty up close and they are adorable! We also got to stop at the glacier which is unique! You will not regret taken this tour!

The only right way to see the South Coast is by booking this tour! Adam is a knowledgeable, kind, and patient guide who gave us an awesome experience.

What separates this tour apart from the other ones is the individualized attention. All the tours pretty much leave the same time and show up to the same destinations at the same time. So when you get out of your jeep just you and your guide, and you're chit-chatting, your laughing, having a good time then you look over to see the dozens coming off the big bus, quiet, one guide for 50 people... -Our guide Adam was a wonderful guide. At no point did he rush us or seem disinterested. -The Tour company has wonderful communication as we had to move some things around and their customer service was great. The waterfalls and beach speak for themselves, they're five stars alone, but think about it...it's totally worth it to upgrade and not have the "ok, it's 11AM, you need to be back at the bus at 11:30AM"

We had an amazing tour of the coast with our guide. We were able to sightsee at our pace and visit places not on the big tour groups path.

This was an outstanding experience. Having a personal guided tour is the best way to experience the southern coast. Adam personalizes the experience for you. We wish we could have spent another day with him. He knows some great places that are less visited by tourists.

We just had a private tour with Adam, and it is definitely the highlight of our whole trip. Adam is a very friendly and patient guild. He took us to see some secret waterfalls which we didn’t know before. They are amazing! This tour is a bit more expensive than group tours, but surely it worths every penny, and the itinerary is the best according to my research.

If you're looking for a tour that showcases the rugged beauty of Iceland, look no further. Our guide, Sio, made a clever change up so we missed the crowds at on of the most popular waterfalls. He made lunch reservations and then took us on a solitary tour of the black sand beach. Such an incredible experience to be totally alone with the waves. Every part of the day was memorable and worth the extra cost.

This was the highlight of our trip! We spend 13 hours with Adam viewing the South Coast area. He was absolutely delightful and went above and beyond to make our day fantastic. At he end of the day, we felt like we had made a new friend. We had emailed Try Iceland prior to our trip to find out which area would be best suited for the things that we wanted to see. They were so helpful in making that decision and were interested in what we wanted to accomplish and then made it happen! If you were forced to do only one thing- THIS IS IT!!!!!

This was our first tour out of Reykjavik and I think it was my favorite. We also had Adam as a guide and he was awesome. He answered a millions questions I had about the country and culture, and he amazed me with his knowledge since he said he had moved to Iceland from Poland without knowing English or Icelandic, impressive. The waterfalls were amazing. We had the best time at the black sand beach, even though the weather was rather blustery. We stopped for lunch at a tomato greenhouse, and learned about how vegetables are grown in Iceland and had amazing tomato soup and bloody marys! I would highly recommend this stop. The tour was especially nice because it's for a small party, we had 5, so it felt more personal and we could go at our own pace. Highly recommend!
