Come visit the south coast and the vicinity of the unpronounceable Eyjafjallajökull volcano that erupted so memorably in 2010 and stopped many airports in Europe during that time. Why not do it in a Super Jeep to add on to the fun. The Super Jeeps are specially modified here in Iceland to get you to remote areas regular cars can't go. Nowhere else in the world you have the opportunity to get in one of those Jeeps and traverse through rough terrain and splashing in glacial rivers. Don´t let it slip you by!!!

Seljalandsfoss
Waters from Eyjafjallajokull’s melting ice flow into the Seljalands River and into the sea but, before making the final leg of this journey, the waters pass over a high cliff forming the spectacular Seljalandsfoss Waterfall (foss means waterfall in Icelandic). The waterfall has a single clear drop of 60 m into a calm pool below set in a flat area of meadowland. The pathway to the waterfall actually leads directly behind the waterfall making it one of the few in the world that it is possible to walk behind. The area behind the waterfall also features a small cave.
Volcano Eyjafjallajokull
Eyjafjallajokull located in the Southern Region on Iceland’s southern coast. This volcano is famous for its 2010 eruption which effectively closed down air travel in northern Europe. It is also famous as being one of the most difficult names to pronounce

September 8, 2025 My wife and I did a one-day South Iceland Adventure tour. It was supposed to be a small group trip, but ended up being just us two. Our guide, Heimir, was fantastic! His knowledge and passion for Iceland was evident from the start of the excursion. We walked behind waterfalls, explored rock formations at Black Sand Beach and heard stories from Heimir that really proved local knowledge means so much. We not only saw some amazing sites, but the black sand beach drive was extra spectacular. I can’t imagine seeing your beautiful country with any other guide! Dan Roeske, PhD Michigan

We had an incredible experience on this tour — one of the best excursions we've ever done. The landscapes were absolutely stunning, and our guide, Cali, was outstanding: knowledgeable, professional, and also very nice. We felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire day. The vehicle was great, the itinerary was well-paced, and everything ran smoothly. Truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

An amazing day being guided through an ice cave and to the south coast wonders, guided by mighty Thor himself! We were picked up in Reykjavik in a super jeep, and driven to the glacier first. Thor was really interesting and engaging, and was attentive to comfort breaks and smooth driving. He skilfully took us off road and allowed us plenty of time at each attraction. He took us to an exclusive area of a black sand beach not visited by the big tours. It was really special and Thor made it an unforgettable experience, with stories, information and good humour. He was happy to talk and answered all our questions about Iceland thoughtfully. He also takes excellent photos! Thank you Thor!

Simply the best way to experience the South Shore of Iceland. Collected in the Super Jeep by Aron and covered the sights along the way - the Beach tour with views of Vestmannaeyjar (Westman Islands) was Awesome and Thorsmork (Thor's Valley) trip was Epic. Aron was a superb guide for the day taking us around with 8 of us on the trip and the best way to round off a trip to Iceland.

Picked up on time right outside the hotel. Leonard was our guide. He was knowledgable, fun, interesting and just perfect. We had good weather and the tour didn't disappoint. Definitely worth paying more for your own private vehicle and guide. 👍👍👍👍👍

Right from the get go - this tour was amazing... Our tour guide picked us up in a Super Jeep and drove us through the mountains into the glacial/volcanic areas... Driving in heavy snow, first, then over the volcanic landscape, on ice, across rivers, to the mouth of the glacier... Then onto the waterfalls which was inspiring (unfortunately, we could not walk behind the falls due to icy conditions)... Finally onto the black sand beaches and dune bashing... All in all this tour was outstanding.

We did the south coast with our guide Gunner in a £300000 super jeep! We felt like we were on a Planet Earth documentary for the full day - it was epic! Gunner was super knowledgable and gave us info about everything we saw! We also did the silver circle with Gisli- Gisli was the same as Gunner- very well educated and knew the answer to every question we asked. He took us off road and up onto the Glacier which was like being in another world- he also performed safety checks throughout the day on the vehicle as we went over some seriously tough terrain - We’ll remember these trips forever! Cheers Activity Iceland!
