So much of what we think we know about history is wrong. On this tour, we'll explore the truth behind the myths of history.
Find out what really happened. Not the stories you were told, or the facts your teacher taught you. Oh no, we're going to explore things like why they never taught us there were FOUR Emancipation Proclamations. While absolutely nothing happened on the 4th of July, yet we celebrate it every year. We'll even tell the real story behind Santa Claus.
So buckle up! We'll start at Waterfront Park, head past the famous Rainbow Row and Washington Park, down cobblestone streets, and past the oldest building in Charleston, from 1685. We promise the things you see will be beautiful, and the historical facts will be different than what you think they are!
So come on ya'll...let's learn some real history

A professional historian
We'll spend some time showing you the real history of Charleston at Waterfront Park before we walk the colonial streets of the second-largest historic district in the world!
Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon
The old exchange building on East bay Street is where the hub of city life in old Charles Towne happened. Speeches, dignitaries, parties, and pirates. This place had it all back in 1790!

They were correct. A lot of what we learned in school isn't the whole story. I won't give away any "gems" from the tour but our guide Scott was funny and gave us one "that sh*t aint true explanation after another. Very interesting but also great fun and sometimes very funny as well.
