Yui and Sosen are very lovely, educational and encouraging. I had a fantastic time learning from my Sensei. I didn't feel like I was failing and I like how you're taught that there's nothing wrong with your strokes looking different to someone else's. I was lucky enough to have the class to myself too! Thank you again and I will be back next time I'm in Tokyo!

Probably my highlight of Tokyo. It was an absolutely beautiful experience. I truly loved it. The art of Japanese calligraphy is truly special. I learned the meanings of the letters and sounds and created a beautiful memory to bring home in my heart and a t-shirt to wear with the calligraphy I learned. It was so much fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This experience I will treasure for a lifetime. I loved my teacher Hiromi. She was as sweet as can be and so pleasant and kind. it was a delight. It was a perfect time and very special. I even met the Master of the calligraphy program, a third generation teacher of the art of Japanese Calligraphy of this school. It was a true honor. Do not miss this sweet memory in Tokyo! It was so wonderful and so grateful I did it.

Probably one of the best experiences I had in Tokyo. It was so sweet and relaxing. I enjoyed learning about the ancient art of Japanese calligraphy and creating my own t-shirt to wear. It is a treasured memory on my trip. My teacher, Hiromi was as sweet and kind as can be. I’m truly grateful for her and the very special experience. I even met the third Master. He is third generation of a very special tradition and a teacher of teachers. Do not miss this truly beautiful experience. It’s immersive and wonderful . I loved it and have a truly beautiful memory in my heart to bring home. And my cute t-shirt. A must!!

Without a doubt, for those curious about calligraphy, painting, and literature, a nice approach to Shodo (the way of writing) refers to traditional Japanese calligraphy. But also for those who are dazzled by visiting Japan, this course can open a window to understanding this country with its ancient culture. Two hours taught by a great teacher who speaks perfect English will be enough to get you excited and want to learn more about Japanese calligraphy. Go for it!
