Our company follows a hands-free, no-touching approach on all snorkel tours. When we enter the ocean, we are guests in the marine animals’ home, and we strive to be respectful and peaceful so as not to disturb their natural behaviors. Touching marine life—including sea turtles, sea urchins, and starfish—is strictly prohibited.

You may observe other operators or individuals touching wildlife; however, this practice is harmful and destructive to marine animals and their environment. We are committed to responsible, ethical wildlife interactions that prioritize ocean health.

Our vessel is limited to a maximum of six guests, providing a VIP-level experience without the VIP price. With a low guide-to-guest ratio, we offer personalized attention while minimizing stress on wildlife. Safety is a top priority, & all guides are lifeguard certified.

Photo and/or video package is available. Our images have been awarded 1st place in Honolulu’s Wildlife Magazine.

What To Expect

Our Turtle Canyon snorkel is aimed at allowing customers to swim with the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle. At this snorkel spot, there is an incredible amount of wildlife, including sea turtles, hawaiian spinner dolphins, monk seals, manta rays, tiger sharks, and all sorts of reef fish. Every dive is different, and you never know what will come swimming through the reef. With our limit of 6 customers, it allows for close interactions without over-crowding the wildlife. Open to swimmers of all skill level. Snorkel, mask & fins provided.

We had the best time with Hawaii Apex Charters, the crew is awesome and the boat is spacious! Went with friends and family and it was perfect!

We had a brilliant time on our turtle canyon snorkel tour today with Hawaii Apex Charters and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. They only ever have a max of 6 guests on board which is brilliant and they really look after you. We were lucky to have Phil and Holly take care of us today. They not only ensured our safety, the safety of the turtles and excellent video footage, but that we had the best experience possible. We saw SO MANY turtles as well as lots of other beautiful sea-life. We enjoyed our experience so much that we booked a second snorkel tour with them for tomorrow, to see the Sea Tiger Shipwreck and hopefully more turtles and sharks. Mahalo Phil & Holly.

I had such a good experience with Hawaii Apex Charters, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. Phillip and Ianthe were amazing from start to finish. Super friendly, super knowledgeable, and they just make you feel comfortable the whole time. The turtle tour itself is awesome and we were able to enjoy some of the wildlife that Hawaii has to offer. They know the water well and you can tell they care about the ocean and the wildlife, which made the whole thing feel even more special.

Such a wonderful day out on the water with this crew! I truly felt like I was hanging out with friends. Ianthe and Phillip are very knowledgeable and I felt very safe during this whole experience. You can tell they really love what they do and care about the ocean’s ecosystem! Would absolutely go again!

This was amazing experience. The many turtles and swarms of tropical fish were just below us as we snorkled above. The staff was very knowledagble and friendly. The individualized underwater photography was an impressive way to capture our memorable encounter with nature of the sea.

Really amazing experiance! Our guide Holly was great and very personable, captain phillip was very nice too! I would reccomend paying extra for the videos. You probably wont get the quality of videos that she is going to get for you anyways, and you can spend your time experiancing the turtles without worrying about trying to get cool videos! What a great experiance!!!
