We had a great full day private tour with Satoshi. He kept it interesting for our 10 and 8 year old kids and showed us multiple neighborhoods in Tokyo throughout the day. It felt like traveling with a friend who knows about hidden gems in the city! He was highly responsive during the booking process and made sure to cater our tour to our interests. I would highly recommend Satoshi and Hinonaru One.

Despite the short time allotted for an excursion by our cruise ship, we had a wonderful six hours! I only wish it could've been longer! Satoshi is a wonderful guide; he's friendly and relatable, which made the experience like having an old friend showing us around the city. The spots we went to were awesome.

I booked a tour with Hinomaru and was incredibly lucky to have Rina as my guide. From the start, she made everything effortless — warm, organized, and genuinely fun. Her English is incredible; she speaks like a local, which made communication smooth, natural, and full of personality. It never felt like a scripted tour — it felt like hanging out with a friend who just happens to know Tokyo inside and out. Rina brought each location to life with stories, cultural context, and small insights only a true local would know. She read the group perfectly, kept everything moving at the right pace, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and cared for. What impressed me most was her omotenashi spirit. She pays attention to every detail, remembers what guests enjoy, and makes the entire experience feel personal. If you’re booking with Hinomaru, ask for Rina. Her energy, knowledge, and near-native English make her one of the best guides you can find in Tokyo — truly a standout.

What a great tour. Rina was amazing. She put together a well thought out agenda, including popular tourist sites and hidden gems. What impressed me the most was how Rina was able to build quick friendships with everyone in the group early on and so it made it feel like we were touring with a friend who lives in Japan. Another thing that stood out to me was how she was to adapt the tour along the way to be fun and interesting for the diverse group we had (travelled with our two sons in their 20s and their girlfriends and our 10 year old son and seven year old daughter). While we had a well thought out agenda, some of the best memories we made were the things that Rina improvised. We will definitely book another tour next time we are in Japan.

Satoshi was our guide and absolutely great! He was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging with our family. Satoshi took time to go into details where we wanted and quickly adjusted when we were ready to move on. I’d been to Tokyo many times before and still had never seen or heard of most everything he included in our tour. We liked it so much, we immediately booked a second day! I can’t recommend him enough.
