  We had not originally planned to visit Versailles this trip. But friends strongly recommended it. We booked this tour, not sure what to expect. But our guide was incredible! She had a ton of knowledge, helped tie together the themes of multiple generations of the monarchy and kept our kids engaged during the entire tour (which isn’t an easy feat!).

  This was a great tour with Hugh. Comfortable private transportation out to the palace, with information provided along the way. Tour was excellent, and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable. Great experience, despite crowds, in part due to our guide helping us navigate the rooms to get the best views/experiences. Will certainly be back to spend time in the gardens. Our guide was also very flexible, and was able to drop us off at a different location and give us some tips on what else to see that day.

  Lucile was amazing! She was so friendly and knowledgeable. Half of our party had been before but she pointed out so many things we had not previously seen and gave us wonderful historical information. She was early to pick us up and dropped ours off right in front of our building at the end of our tour. One of best tour guides we have ever had.

  Andre was excellent. Very knowledgeable and interesting. The gardens in the winter are a bit disappointing but that’s to be expected. Overall a great experience.

• An Excellent Way to See Versailles

  While Versailles Palace has to be one of the more touristy destinations around Paris, this private tour tended to minimize that feel. Our guide, Zara, could not have been better. She met us in our hotel lobby right on time and filled every moment of our time with her with historical and practical information that would have taken us considerably longer to unearth on our own - and likely lots of tidbits that we would have missed. Another benefit of this tour was the drive from central Paris to Versailles and back, during which time Zara educated us on everything we were passing and seeing along the way. Her knowledge of the entire area and Versailles Palace itself was exceptional and we'd recommend her highly.
