There is no luggage storage for extra clothing, umbrellas, large bags, scooters, etc. Pets are not allowed.

Skip-the-line tickets to Schonbrunn Palace include timed entry so you don't have to wait in line for your tickets. Headsets will be provided for groups of 10+ inside the palace.

Admission to Schonbrunn Gardens is for free parts only. The gardens are not green or lit up in winter, so it’s best to book a morning tour or visit in spring, summer & autumn. In case of extreme weather conditions (such as snow), the gardens will be excluded from the itinerary for the safety of the guests. From 08.11 to 06.01, you will have a chance to visit a local Christmas Market instead.

There is no Sisi exhibition in Schonbrunn, book our Hofburg tour.

What To Expect

Your tour begins at Café Gerstner K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäcker, located in Schönbrunn Palace. Address: Schönbrunner Schloßstraße 47/Kavalierstrakt 52 Closest Public Transport: Schönbrunn U-Bahn station or Schloß Schönbrunn bus stop. Finding the Meeting Point: 1. Enter the Schönbrunn Palace grounds through the Main Gate, where the Ticket Office is located. 2. Walk into the main courtyard (you will see fountains in the middle). 3. Turn left and walk past the Museum Shop and Schlosscafé Schönbrunn, continue along the palace's facade. 4. Café Gerstner is on the left, approximately in the center of the palace's facade. 5. Your guide will be waiting on the right side of the Café's entrance. We know this area can be a bit tricky to navigate, so we will also send you an email and text message with real photos of the exact meeting spot!

As our tour was on the first Saturday of the Christmas Market, I can’t imagine the chaos Schönbrunn would have been without a tour guide! Gabi grew up nearby and is a rare gem of a guide. Her personal connection to Schönbrunn and her family stories were delightful! She adeptly navigated us through throngs of visitors, while expertly and concisely providing narratives of the use of various rooms and halls and sharing details of the lives of the Hapsburgs .
