  • Take the tour but with someone else

The guide was tremendously disorganized. We spent 45 minutes trying to find his other passengers. The first winery we went to was closed. The second winery was run by a vintner who was dismissive of our questions. The island is quite beautiful but the guide didn’t stop for photo ops. I think a wine tour of this island is certainly worth it but not with this operator.

  • Wonderful Small Group Experience that's More than Just Wine

Grant led a personalized and incredibly fun wine tasting experience. Within five minutes of arriving Waiheke Island and talking to Grant, we understood why there is so much pride for the island. Grant shared his favorite spots and took us on a tour that was more than just wine. Even though it wasn't on the itinerary, he added an unexpected stop due to our interest in olive oil. We appreciated how easygoing and relaxing the tour ended up being, with three excellent choices in wineries that were each unique and beautiful in their own way. We truly got a taste of the island, even if it was only for one day.

Whatever my expectations were, they were entirely exceeded…. It was a first class wine, beautiful Vista day.

Wonderful day with Grant wine tasting at three Waiheke wineries, each unique in its own way. Loved Grant’s running commentary on Waiheke history, geology, society. Was the perfect way to introduce friends from California to Waiheke and New Zealand.

  • Small group, small wineries, great wine!

A small group tour to some of the smaller wineries on Waiheke Island. This is not your busload descending on a large vineyard to sample “standard wines” tour. Instead, Grant, the tour operator, takes you to smaller out-of-the-way wineries to taste some excellent but perhaps less well known wines. And they were all excellent!
