Squeaky Beach

Squeaky Beach is so named because of the sounds you'll hear while walking along the sand. The rounded grains of quartz make a squeaking sound when you walk, giving this popular local beach its name. The famous white sand leads to turquoise waters at one of Wilsons Promontory's most iconic beaches. Enjoy a dip in the ocean here if you wish, or just enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding area from the beach.

Had such an amazing day, the tour itself was fab from the hike to squeaky beach to seeing the local wildlife and our tour guide Jamies made it even better- was super helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend!

Incredible experience! Jaimes, our guide was amazing! He kept us in high spirits the entire day with fun facts, good humour and history of Wilson’s prom and Australia. He also took great care to ensure everyone was safe on the hike since the path was slippery due to rain. And we also spotted wombats on the wildlife walk. Highly recommend. Thanks Jaimes!

Really great day in beautiful Wilson’s Prom. A great hike up Mt Bishop - highly recommend appropriate walking/hiking shoes for this! Squeaky beach was just brilliant, and the wildlife walk was extra special, wombats, kangaroos and emus! Just such a great day getting a taste of a beautiful part of the world. Really well organised and friendly, knowledgeable guide, Jon R. My second tour with Go West, absolutely worth it.

Lovely trip, so well organised and little group so easy to all get to know eachother. Wilson's prom was amazing, the hike was accessible for all with brilliant views and even saw kangaroos afterwards Zoe was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable and friendly

Brilliant trip. Israel was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable and, with good humour, kept the group on track for the whole day. The hikes were superb and squealy beach was beautiful.

Lucy is the most amazing guide I’ve met in Australia. Really excited and look forward to going to the prom, and everything is just over my expectations. The guide Lucy is so kind and friendly, taking good care of us. We all had a wonderful perfect day. Highly recommend Go West!! Very Caring and always safe home.

The tour with Lucy was amazing! She is a great guide with a lot of funny and interesting stories und she gave her best to show us the best sides of the nationalpark. The squeaky beach is beautiful, the hike was not hard and we saw some kangoroos and emus. I recommend the tour!
