The driver guide meets you at the designated area and the one hour drive begins to the location of the zips near the river and forest. Along the drive the guide provides information about the country, scenery and zipline. at the secure parking area there are modern facilities available. Fitted with helmets, harness, gloves the participant is given instructions and taken to the practice line, known as the chicken run. once familiar with the gear and the thrill. the thrill continues by zipping on lines 500 to 1000 feet long. these lines span across the forest and over the river. the zip guides help to send and receive each zip liner as they glide from one station to the other. Fly high thru the forest and over the river, go zipline today. Then enjoy a local lunch, a drive to the Ancient City of Altun ha. See the Temples and the Sacrificial Altars, Mask of the gods, a few buildings are still available to climb the steps to reach the top and have a panoramic view. visit the gift shops.

What To Expect
Meet your driver guide at 9am at the designated area. The drive to Altun Ha then the zip line tour located near the river and forest is one hour. Along the route the driver guide will provide information on the country, scenery and zipline. at the zipline parking area there are modern facilities available. once ready to zip the 7 zip lines, each line is 500 to over 1000 feet long. Instructions are given and each participant is fitted with helmet, gloves, and harness. the first line is a practice line known as the chicken run, where the participant becomes familiar with the gear and thrill. then its up some steps to the higher platforms. guides provide assistance at each stage preparing to send and receive each zip-liner. zip thru the forest and over the river on the thrilling experience. After the thrill its ciesta for the 1 hour driver back to port.

5.00VIV provided a great excursion for my two sisters and myself. We came in on the Caribbean Princess and immediately were able to find a VIV rep in a red shirt and he escorted us right to our transport vehicle, which was a car with our driver and just us. We were on our way within about 10 minutes. We had an amazing time with our driver George. George was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about Belize, the history, the landscape, the people. He was personable and friendly and engaging. It was about an hour long drive inland to get to the zip line, but the time went by very quickly. Zip lining was not very busy and we got on very quickly. This was my 3rd time zip lining and it was fun and comparable to the others that I have done before. We did 7 lines all together, with the longest going across some water. We had two tour guides the entire time, Desmond and Daniel and their first priority was safety. The experience was very, very fun. Both of my sisters had not been zip lining before and they loved it! When we were finished we got a wonderful lunch of bbq chicken, rice and beans and coleslaw. It was very good. We sat and ate with George and had great conversation. We had an hour ride back and again George was a delight. We loved our 3.5 hour tour and would recommend to anyone!
