Tour Skye's Best of Skye will take you to all the main attractions on the mystical Isle of Skye. Walk with the supernaturals through fairy-sized landscapes and forests, rock castles, and the Fairy Pools. For this tour, you must take the fairy oath. Please wear waterproof clothing and footwear, as we travel to fairy land by going underneath waterfalls.

What To Expect
Fairy Pools
We start on our journey with a drive to the Fairy Pools in the shadow of the Cuillin Mountains. The pools are located in one of the most dramatic landscapes on Skye. The fairies regularly bathe here, in the crystal clear green pools of the River Brittle. Weather permitting, you can swim in the pools of the river, one of the UK’s best wild swimming spots. Have fun diving under natural arches and waterfalls, but please do not spy on the fairies, as they can easily take offence!
Talisker Distillery
Talisker distillery based in Carbost is one of the three whisky distillery on the Isle of Skye. The whisky is a single malt Scotch, with a very distinctive peaty-smoky taste. We shall go through the visitor centre (not on the tour) and if available sample one of the fine whiskys produced here.

5.00It was a long day but a really great day to see all the sights. Our tour guide Stevie was excellent, a good balance of informative and humorous. The fairly pools were the highlight of the tour, but prepare to walk 7,000 steps at 9:30am :). Dunvegan castle and the gardens were also a big highlight. Highly recommend.

3.00The tour guide spoke rather rudely when discussing the return time to the bus, even though we were at a perfect spot for photography and someone had just asked me to take their picture. He showed a lack of respect and came across as dismissive.

5.00The quality of the experience mostly came down to the Anne, the wonderful driver/tour guide for our group. As a native, she gave us insights to work, church, culture and living cooperatively on the Isle. Some of her stories were incredibly colorful. If we had not been on her tour, we would have left without really knowing Isle of Skye. She was very flexible and adaptive to the needs of the group. The tour ended up being so much more than we could have hoped. Anne, our tour guide/driver was a native Isle crofter who gave us tremendous insights to work life, church, culture, and living cooperatively in this unique society. Some of her stories were funny and all were incredibly rich and colorful. If we had toured this Isle on our own, we would have left not really knowing the Isle. Anne was adaptive to the needs of the group and flexible. The tour was far more that we had expected.
