We guarantee 100% No Shopping Stops in our tours. For those who do not mention "No Shopping", usually they have shopping stops. Even you don't see shopping related words in their itineraries, it is indeed a shopping tour. Be sure to ask the operator about this. By taking a shopping tour, your time spent on attractions will be shortened, and you might be pressured to purchase overpriced items. The so-called tea ceremony is also a trap with commissions. So, to thoroughly enjoy the trip, you are suggested to choose a tour without any annoying shopping stops.

If in doubt, 5 stars. It's a great 2-day itinerary. You see the most important sights. You have to bear in mind that there isn't much time to visit the each sight in detail. One should plan an additional day for what interests most. The visit to the Forbidden City is more of a slow, continuous walk through. What we didn't like was that there were two separate one-day tours, each with a different guide and a different group. The agency also swapped the daily program, which we didn't like. Neither of these was communicated in advance. Both guides spoke good English, Linda was much easier to understand. The guides were very helpful with our vegan diet. Lunch in a restaurant in Beijing on the first day cost 6 USD for two people, the lunch buffet at the Great Wall of China cost around 30 USD with travel agency discount. The vehicle on the first day for 4 guests was very luxurious, the bus for 10 guests on the second day was OK, although it smelled strongly of petrol at the beginning.

Very organized and a great way to see Beijing! My husband and I went in November for his birthday. A bit chilly but fun!
