Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)

Build in 1415, Tian An Men Square is one of the largest squares in the would, with total size of over 40 hectares. It is the main entrance of the Forbidden City, and has an overview of the communist influences on the country.

We visited the Forbidden City in the morning and the Great Wall in the afternoon, stopping for lunch and quick visits to a jade shop and a tea house. Our tour guide, Michael Shi, spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the history of each location we visited. I was especially glad to have a tour guide for the Forbidden City, which is enormous, very crowded and a bit overwhelming. I can't imagine navigating it and enjoying nearly it as much if I'd tried to visit on my own.

Excellent tour. Had an amazing time, just because of our tour guide Michael Shi. Very professional and knowledgeable and knew how to manage time. Very friendly as well. Had a great time at the Great Wall and Forbidden City even though it was hot

The itinerary was as comprehensive as was described. The tour leader - Jenny Ong - was knowledgeable and able to maneuver around Beijing´s unique flow. Still waiting for group picture she said she will share.
