  We had a great experience with our tour guide, May, during our visit to Beijing. She took us to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace, providing plenty of interesting information along the way. May was thoughtful and made sure everything ran smoothly, which made the day really enjoyable. The itinerary was well-organized, and we had a nice lunch at a local restaurant that added to the experience. The car was clean and comfortable, and the driver was punctual and professional, which made getting around easy and stress-free. Overall, it was a well-planned day, and May’s friendly and knowledgeable approach made it even better. We’d definitely recommend her to others visiting Beijing! Thank you so much, May!!

  Came during low peak season and able to enjoy the cool weather and lesser crowds. Pleasant tour as the tour guide Iris was patient and helpful. She definitely knows how to take great pictures and was able to share life in china so that we gain better understanding.

  Angel was our tour guide and she was THE BEST. Excellent English, a strong command of history, and always quick to stand between us and other tourists trying to shove us out of the way. The driver was also great, and he took us around in a nice Buick minivan. Book this tour!!

  We had an outstanding tour in Beijing with our guide, Peter, and we can’t recommend him enough! Our itinerary included Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace, and Peter ensured that every part of the experience was seamless and memorable. From the start, Peter impressed us with his professionalism. He and the driver arrived a few minutes early to pick us up in a clean, comfortable car, which set the tone for the day. At Tiananmen Square, we avoided the long lines thanks to his certification as an official guide, saving us valuable time. Once inside, Peter’s deep knowledge truly stood out—he gave us detailed insights into the square’s history and the surrounding landmarks, making everything come alive. At the Forbidden City, Peter went above and beyond. We booked the tour last minute and didn’t realize tickets are usually required to be booked seven days in advance. Incredibly, Peter managed to secure tickets on-site for us. His knowledge of the Forbidden City was incredible—his background as a history major was evident in the way he shared fascinating stories and detailed explanations about the palace’s architecture, culture, and significance. Lunch was another highlight of the tour. Peter took us to a local restaurant, ordered a variety of dishes for us, and every single one was exceptional. It was such a treat to enjoy authentic Beijing cuisine, expertly curated by someone who clearly knows the best spots. The day concluded at the Summer Palace, where Peter once again impressed us with his historical expertise and passion for sharing the stories behind this stunning imperial garden. Overall, Peter was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive to every detail. His historical background added a unique depth to the tour, and his ability to adapt to last-minute needs made the experience completely stress-free.   I booked our tour through Viator but the local company they contract with for this tour was Catherine Lu. Our tour guide’s name was May and she was great! The company was in contact with us prior to keep us informed (pick up time, bring passports, what is not allowed, etc). May picked us up at our hotel promptly at 8am. We took the subway to Tiananmen Square. It was great to have her because she navigated the subway and lines at the square beautifully (we are from the US and do not speak Chinese at all). She showed us everything, took pictures of us, and provided a very thorough history/overview of everything! We then went to the Forbidden City. After that, we took a taxi (Didi) to a Tea Room and then had lunch. And then another taxi (Didi) to the Summer Palace. Beautiful! Since we were traveling in November, there were no lines and we easily got into all the sites. Very easy! She said it was not normally this way but with the changing seasons, not as many people. After the Summer Palace we took the subway back to our hotel with her and she brought us right back to our hotel. 100% recommend going with a guide!!
