Tour includes entrance fees, round-trip Great Wall cable car or toboggan ticket, private guide and transfer service.

What To Expect

Mutianyu Great Wall

Picked up between 7:00am to 13:00pm in your hotel lobby. Then drive to Mutianyu Great Wall directly. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huai Rou County on the north-east of Beijing. This section of the Great Wall is about 75 KM from the center of Beijing. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. Cable car can take you up to the Great Wall, you can choose to enjoy the hiking to the peak or stay to enjoy the beautiful view. Cable down or toboggan down would be more fun. At the end, you will transferred back to your hotel

It was a great experience. My driver (sorry i don’t get the name) he is really helpful, kind even tho there’s a language barrier. He makes sure that I’m safe and comfortable. You have a lot of free time if you will just book for private transportation.

Highly recommend this tour group. Our driver picked us up on time, got us our entry ticket and walked us to the shuttle to get to the chair lift. The Mutianyu section of the wall is less crowded, with options to go in two directions (red gondola or green chair lift). It’s a grueling climb, but well worth it. Our guided waited almost 3 hrs w/o a problem.

The whole experience was incredible. Tony, our driver, picked us up on time. Our drive to the Great Wall was smooth and he spoke great English. When we arrived, the entrance was quick. Tony gave us history of the wall and allowed us to take our time. Tony was incredibly kind and had a great personality. I would highly recommend this trip and ask for Tony!

We were a family of five traveling together, including my mother, who is a senior and has difficulty walking, and my 8-year-old daughter. Our tour guide, Wendy, was absolutely amazing! She was very accommodating and thoughtful, adjusting our plans to suit my mom’s pace and needs without making us feel rushed. Wendy walked alongside my mother, patiently assisting her with every step, helping her with toilet stops and making sure she was comfortable throughout the tour. She also made sure my daughter was engaged and enjoying herself. Thanks to Wendy’s care and flexibility, what could have been a challenging trip turned into a smooth, enjoyable, and memorable experience for our whole family. We also had a wonderful lunch as part of the tour, the food and atmosphere were perfect. Overall, the trip was easy, relaxing, and unforgettable because of Wendy’s professionalism and kindness. Highly recommend her to anyone, especially families traveling with seniors or young children!
