This is your tour if you demand a private tour with both the big sights as well as a walk on the local side. Plus, since Osaka is "Japan's Kitchen", food will be ever-present, both delightfully downmarket and astoundingly upmarket at times.
In the "top sights" - no trip to Osaka is complete with a stop at Osaka Castle, but, we also dig deeper into the neighborhoods. We finish off with the famous Dotonbori, but don't leave too much time there, as we assume you will browse about the area on your own.
Guide will be a native or near-native English speaker, who also speaks Japanese. We're happy to make modifications based on your specific interests (subject to additional expense)
First child free!
Sashiko workshop bundled extra:
After morning exploration of Osaka, enjoy a self-guided break for lunch and transit the workshop. Then, you'll immerse yourself in a Sashiko Workshop. Here you’ll learn the intricate art of traditional Japanese stitching and create you own piece to take home.

Osaka Castle
We think the park Osaka Castle is in, and the exterior of the castle are splendid and rewarding to visit. The tired, poorly designed non-castle interior: Not so much. So we don't go in. Trust us, you're not missing anything.
Osaka Tsuruhashi Ichiba
Explore this fabulous time-warp of a market, where fashion, food, and culture noisily collide and birth something wonderful. There's not much pre-war Osaka left to explore, but this is a champion of a local sight. It also highlights the Korean influence on the city.

Vince was extremely knowledgeable about the the city, culture and history of not only Osaka and Japan, but nearby countries as well. The tour spanned a large portion of the city, taking us off the beaten path to see things we'd not otherwise know to check out. Vince was also very accommodating in making sure everyone got the photos they wanted at each landmark we passed. Thanks Vince!

A familiarity of the history and key locations of Osaka are learned on this tour. Our tour guide, Lito, is extremely knowledgeable and connected well with us. We appreciate him for taking the time to answer our questions regarding money exhange and areas interest to us. The approach with a dose of humor is much appreciated. Thank you, Lito!

Oh Osaka! Where should I start. The 4 hour walking tour, our tour guide, Oisin, knew his way around. He took us to places that most tourists would miss. The hidden gems Osaka has to offer. From the never ending food markets to the high rises that give a view from above the city. At night we continued to the food tour. What a blast! The food was awesome as well as the places. Needless to say Oisin revealed to us many of the secrets Osaka keeps. Highly recommended!!!
