We showed up at the Pier 36, slip 6 at 4:05 for a 4:30 boat trip. The boat was pulling away. The phone numbers for the biat company don't work. Our family of 9 was left at the Pier with no cruise. We had planned our day around this trip. Extremely disappointing.

Do not book this tour. This was an extremely disappointing and poorly managed experience. Our cruise was scheduled for 2:30 PM, but we were made to wait until 4:00 PM because the company didn’t have enough people and chose to delay departure instead of honoring the booked time. There were families with small children forced to stand outside in the cold for over an hour and a half with no proper explanation or care. We had another tour booked at 4:00 PM, so I requested a refund when it became clear they would not depart on time. The tour company refused to refund, yet kept pressuring us to keep waiting. I immediately contacted Viator, who also refused to issue a refund, despite the tour not operating as advertised. This was an utter waste of money and time. If a tour cannot run at the scheduled time, customers should be informed in advance or refunded—neither happened here. Skip this tour and book the cruise with a different company. Poor planning, zero accountability, and no respect for customers.

The boat arrived over 1 hour late, which was very disappointing. We had rushed and walked from China Town after being told that the journey to Pier 36 was around 20 to 30 mins but it was over 1 hour long 😡🥵😡

Felt scammed! We were going to do the free Staten Island sail past trip but were met at the ferry station by a guy selling this trip. He, and all of the many colleagues around him were wearing official looking vests and he convinced me this trip was worth booking as it did everything we wanted and only took an hour. The doubts started when we had to wait an hour in the freezing cold for the bus to turn up then another half hour to take us to pier 78 I think. We were eventually led to the boat, and to be honest it was ok and it did sail past the statue, and the guide was ok but it did NOT sail under the Brooklyn Bridge as I was told it would by the agent who sold me the tickets in the first place. The whole tour had a feeling of being ripped off and I don’t recommend this trip to anyone.

  • Scam

We actually did not go on the tour because it was a scam. We got to the site and met a car full of people that were leaving because they were told that it was a fake tour and then as we were waiting for our ride to come back and pick us up we met about 10 to 12 more people who had also been scammed through Groupon for the same tour. The story was that the tour site had changed to another Pier but we were told that we would not have enough time to get there and a gentleman that works in the area said that that's part of a scam that even if you get to the other Pier, there's no tour. It's just a big scam.
