Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel/ accommodation and take you to the imposing Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. This is one of the most prominent symbols of contemporary Islamic architecture in the world. It took 11 years to complete this immense mosque, which covers over 30 acres of Land. The incredible view of the Grand Mosque will be a feast for your eyes as it combines the cultural diversity of Islamic art with modern architecture and design. The exterior surfaces of the Grand Mosque are covered in Sivec marble from Greece and Macedonia and its main dome is one of the largest mosque-domes in the world. Get to the Mosque to watch its rich traditional designs from floor to ceiling. The mosque offers plenty of attractions, most notable among them are the world’s largest hand-woven carpet (measuring around 60,570 sq ft. this carpet was hand-woven by about 1,200 - 1,300 carpet knitters), the world's largest marble mosaic floral design, the world's third-largest chandelier (that adorns the main prayer hall), and glass panels studded with Swarovski crystals. The Mosque interiors are richly decorated with verses of the Holy Quran in three varieties of Arabic calligraphy. As you move around the premises you can see the reflective pools that surround the Mosque, which in turn amplify its beauty. Overall you will never get tired exploring this gigantic structural masterpiece. After completing the Mosque visit and a few memorable photo sessions, you will be dropped back at your hotel/ accommodation.

The tour was well-organised, with a convenient hotel pickup which made things hassle-free. Our group had around 15 people – a good size for keeping things sociable without feeling crowded. While the tour itself was mostly self-directed, we had two full hours to explore the stunning mosque at our own pace, which was ideal. It’s a great option if you want to avoid the cost and effort of organising your own transport, and it also offers a nice chance to meet other travellers and make a few friends along the way. Definitely worth it for the ease and experience!

Our tour guide,Yusuf gave us a great experience by providing facts and history of not only the Grand Mosque but of Islam and the culture of the UAE. Throughout the tour he was able to give explanations of what went into building the Grand Mosque and made sure to answer any and all questions no matter if we felt shy or reluctant to ask. Yusuf is a great photographer as well and knows how to work the camera angles on a phone :)

This was a great 1/2 day trip out of Dubai to see this beautiful mosque!! We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Our guide did a great job giving instructions and historical information on the drive to the mosque. He helped the women in the group get set up with appropriate clothing to be able to enter, which was great to not have to worry about! We were on our own once we entered the mosque, which was really nice to have an extended period of time to explore on our own. The hardest part of this trip was that we had some “challenging” parties in our group. Our guide did his best to keep us on track time wise, but 2 groups were completely uncooperative. We took it with a grain of salt and used the extra time to get some gelato in the shopping complex, which was delicious!! (Try the camel burgers too during your free time. They’re delicious!!) All in all, it was a great trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We highly recommend this tour.

The most beautiful masterpiece I have ever seen…(I travelled 27th countries). The words can’t describe, you have to be there yourself. Little tip: see at the day time, (the mosque get close for 3/4h for prayers, then come back in the evening for the grand finale. In the evening mosque illuminates, looks diff.with diff colors & the candles… it’s a breath taking.

The mosque was beautiful. Our tour guide Noor was great. Everything went smoothly and he gave us great insight about the mosque and the culture in UAE. Also helped us take some nice pictures. Definitely a good experience if you want a quick trip to Abu Dhabi from Dubai.

Pickup from hotel was using a mini van, then we were transferred to a larger coach bus. Our tour guide, Adnan, was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about UAE and the mosque. The architecture was beautiful, both in the outer courtyard and inside. The tour was structured and well organized. There were designated stops for photo taking, and our guide kindly offered to take lots of photos. Weather was very hot in the summer, but we got a bit of a break in the prayer rooms as those are air conditioned. There is also a mall right across from the mosque (connected underground) which is air conditioned, and there are shops where you can browse and purchase an abaya / head scarf if needed. The mall also has souvenir shops, ice cream and specialty camel milk chocolate stores, food court, and a sit-down restaurant serving authentic Arabic cuisine.
