What To Expect
Acropolis
MEETING OUR GUIDE. Your guide will be waiting at Makrygianni Street at the Acropolis Metro stop which is just around the corner from the Acropolis Main Entrance. Our tour visits the Acropolis either in the morning and afternoons 'Golden-Light' period, to both get ahead of the coach tours and heat of the day, but also to experience the lights effects on the Monuments of the Acropolis. The special light at this time heightens the honey-colored hues of the ancient temple's marble, as well as being the best light in which to experience some beautiful panoramic views over Athens.
Theatre of Dionysus
Still in a good state of preservation, one of our first stops is the Ancient THEATER OF DIONYSUS. Built in the 4th & 5th century BC in a natural amphitheater o nthe slopes of the Acropolis it would have had an impressive capacity of 25000, it is considered the world's oldest. Amazing to think that many of the most famous Ancient Greek plays would have had their original premieres here!

5.00My tour guide was prompt and kept us on track for the allotted time of the tour. She gave so much historical information and also allowed stops for great photos!! Highly recommend this tour of the Acropolis when you’re short on time!

3.00Everything was perfectly organized and on time. The tour itself was friendly but rather listless. It was not much taken into consideration and the program simply unwound. You kind of felt like it was the end of the season (although it's season all year round) and the motivation wasn't too great anymore. From our point of view, price and performance are therefore not suitable and we cannot give a more positive review.

5.00We chosed the last tour at 6pm, which was really golden time. After 6pm, the tempture is lower, acropolis is not very crowded, and is so beautiful during sunset. Also the guide is knowledgeable. Since no others were in the tour, the tour became a private tour for me and my wife. I really enjoyed the stories about acropolis and its architects.

5.00We absolutely loved our sunset tour of the Acropolis. It was easy to find the meeting point and our guide Betty was there early and we set straight off. Betty was very knowledgeable and gave us so much insight into the history of The Acropolis and Athens. The time of the tour was perfect being 6pm start time. We were able to stay in The Acropolis until closing. We would highly recommend this private tour.

5.00Vicky was our guide and she was phenomenal. We took this tour with our kids (9 and 8). She kept them engaged the entire time and gave us recommendations for other things to do in Athens. The length of the tour was absolutely perfect and I learned things I had never heard before, despite having taken a group tour about 14 years ago. Highly recommend for families.

5.00The perfect way to see the sights of Athens. Our tour guide Anti, was such a wonderful storyteller. She brought the history and mythology to life for us and our 2 twelve year old girls. The last stop at the taverna was great too.

4.00Ava was not only thorough but helpful with historical facts. We all enjoyed her humor and information. There were however a couple of times when it would’ve been nice to just breathe it all in without all the statistics and information. Truth be told she asked a number of times if she was talking too much…it just felt wrong to say so…
