The leadership was very interactive. You could smell, try and learn a lot about the art of cocktails. Afterwards we had fun trying a favourite cocktail ourselves.

What a great experience! Not only was the tour experience very interesting it was educational and interactive. The cocktail workshop with Sercan was outstanding. He is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about his work and it made for a really fun class. Would highly recommend!

We booked this while in Amsterdam and really enjoyed it . A self guided audio tour of the museum starts the tour, and in each of the rooms you learn about the art of distilling and different tools to make cocktails as well as the effect of glass shape and Ice on your drink .Another room has a whole wall of different atomizers that allow you to test your ability to identify the many aroma’s in a cocktail . There is a virtual bartender in another room to teach you how to use a Boston Shaker . The second half of the tour starts with a cocktail of your choice in their very modern bar , Afterwards we moved to the “bar lab’ and a bartender teaches the class how to make 2 different cocktails . Each person has their own set of bar tools and is walked through each cocktail . Very fun way to end an afternoon in Amsterdam . Highly recommend if you have the time and are interested in the art of cocktail making .

Bols Experience on its own is a wonderful experience of learning about the history of this famous liquor! But the highlight of the experience was the cocktail tasting. I couldn’t choose what I wanted so the bartender Sercan made me his signature cocktail. Deja Vu, what an experience! Flavors layered and a beautiful representation of the city of Amsterdam, this is a MUST drink to try. At first taste I couldn’t decide if I love or hate it but I was so intrigued that I kept drinking! I advise you to order this drink and have Sercan tell you the story of how he brought these flavors together! This will be enough for you to fall in love with the drink and you will see Amsterdam in a complete different light!

I had honestly forgot this included the Bols Museum/Experience as well as the cocktial making class, so that was a nice surprise. It felt a little bit like the Johnnie Walker Scotch experience (if you've been), in that it was partly interactive, allowing you to do a "sensory" room and smell many different ingredients, which made it fun. At the end, you get a drink and then, during the cocktail making course, you make two more. So definitely don't arrive on an empty stomach, ha. It was interesting to hear the history of J/Genever, as I had honestly not heard about it until coming here (and I am a big cocktail person). Jennifer was our bartender and she was fanstastic, being patient and kind when half the class did not follow instructions correctly, and making sure everyone had a great time. I have been to other places throughout europe that do a "cocktail making course" and those have been pretty "meh" - often times just replicating a few drinks from "Sex and the City;" this felt like a unique experience using unique ingredients, so it was a lot more fun.

We went in for the experience but, upgraded to the workshop. The experience is very cool and well worth the hour or so spent on it. Lots of things to see and do. The cocktails in the bar after were perfect of course. The workshop was lead by a great bartender who showed us how to make a great cocktail and gave us some info on how to personalise the drinks. Highly recommend!

When my boyfriend and I visited, the experience was closed, so we only had the opportunity to take the cocktail class. Our host for the night did a great job still working to give us genever and Bols history via PowerPoint in between instruction on how to make three cocktails of varying difficulty. We left happily tipsy (and beyond lol) after four drinks with new liquor and cocktail ideas! This ended up being one of our chaotic top activities of our trip. The only downside - the gift shop is currently closed!
