For the option without entry tickets, the activity provider will buy in advance the tickets for you so as to avoid queuing, so carry some cash with you. Otherwise you can buy the tickets yourself but please make sure to be on time at the meeting point for the tour to start as programmed
Entrance tickets (if you select option with entry tickets included) to be handed by the guide in paper form on date and time of the visit, at the meeting point.
We cannot use the elevator to the Acropolis on group tours
Strollers are not allowed in Acropolis
The Acropolis of Athens is a citadel built on top of a relatively steep hill which can be slippery at specific spots especially when raining.
Bring a bottle of water (no cafe-bar at the site, only a water fountain), a hat, sunglasses, and an umbrella on a rainy day.
Audio quality may be affected by other groups' equipment during crowded times.
Not suitable for children under 6 years old
Not suitable for people with mobility impairments.

5.00Our tour guide, winemaker Alexia, was amazing! Very knowledgeable and passionate about the history and presented the information well while keeping interactive with the group. She went above and beyond was very attentive to the needs of the group as well and was very helpful and accommodating. She even organized a taxi to get an elderly couple home who unfortunately and unexpectedly were unable to continue with the tour. Among the multiple attended, this was by far the tour we enjoyed the most during our 3 week trip around Italy and Greece.

5.00Best way to take in the splendor and history of the Acropolis! Our guide (Nikos I believe) was incredible - he was a wealth of information and kept us captivated for the entire tour. Our experience of the Acropolis would not have been the same without the rich context and history guide through it. Highly, higly recommend this tour when you're visiting Athens! (It was raining the day we went, and still had the best time :) Athenian Tours was so prepared and gave us plastic ponchos)

5.00We had a wonderful tour of the Acropolis and Parthenon thanks to our guide Jordan. He made ancient Athens come alive for us as he explained how the many aspects of Athenian culture (science, religion, mathematics, theater, medicine, democracy) were all interrelated. Jordan has way of speaking about complex subjects in easy to understand terms, which made it fun and interesting. As a tour guide he was attentive to his guest's needs, setting a pace that all could manage, and making sure we had breaks when needed. Jordan is the best!

5.00So glad we decided to have a guided tour rather than just walk around ourselves. Our guide Sissy was so lovely and extraordinarily knowledgeable, she really brought to life the information and her enthusiasm and love of the subject was obvious. The tour lasted half a day. The acropolis was extremely busy, and although no one can jump the queues there, you do at the acropolis museum which is the last part of the tour. Sissy was also a consummate professional at dealing with a difficult couple in the tour who wanted to speed things up as it was raining, plus they needed to leave by 12 noon. Personally, I would have told them to bugger off as they were spoiling the tour for the rest of us that were interested and engaged in the subject.
