Acropolis
Sightseeing in Athens starts driving under the hill of Acropolis. On the historical hill you will have the opportunity to see the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Temple of the Athena Nike, the monumental gateway (Propylaea), the Erechtheum and of course the famous Parthenon, the main temple dedicated to the virgin goddess Athena. You will be able to walk around the sacred hill, or if time allows to visit the Acropolis
Propylaea
The Propylaea is the monumental entrances to the sacred area dedicated to Athena, the patron goddess of the city. Built by the architect Mnesicles with Pentelic marble, their design was avant-garde. To the south-west of the Propylaea, on a rampart protecting the main entrance to the Acropolis, is the Ionian temple of Apteros Nike.

I found the tour to be disappointing. The driver was about 30 minutes late, and we spent an additional 30 minutes picking up tickets for the Acropolis, making the first hour feel like a complete waste. Given the time of year, the tour was not at night, which was expected. Our guide, Panos, was adequate but nothing special. In my opinion, it’s better to explore on your own; this tour felt like a waste of money since you’re essentially just paying for transportation."

We are two elderly ladies aged 70 and 91. We had a great time. Our chauffeur and guide Pantelis was really knowledgable and helpful. He spoke good English. He went the extra mile to make this a memorable experience for us

Panos was an excellent tour guy! We really enjoyed our tour and we learned so much. The time spent with Panos was very valuable. He even suggested an amazing restaurant for dinner after our tour - Apkadia! If you get a chance, eat there too.
