What To Expect
One of the top Greek sommeliers George Spyrou, will welcome you at our beautiful restaurant under the Acropolis with a first aperitif and a brief explanation of the wine map of Greece. The wine map features all major wine producing areas and the wine varieties of each one. After a small talk, the wine tasting experience begins, and Dimitris will introduce special greek wines from handpicked local wineries. Depending on the wine varieties, special dishes also from selected greek producers will help the participants have the full wine experience.The inspiration comes from the local greek cuisine. Participants have the chance to taste rare wine varieties such as Roditis, Limnio, Kidonitsa, Muscat, Augoustiatis, Mandilaras and many more carefully selected by the sommellier.

3.00While the wines and the young honeymooners with whom we were seated were lovely, this experience was, in our view, overpriced and overrated. The sommelier seemed bored with the entire experience, rattling off by rote the memorized descriptions of the wines as though reading from a script and then walking away. Though the restaurant was practically empty, he seemed far too busy or disinterested to provide an inviting environment or add any passion to what we had hoped would be a truly special experience. We are true oenophiles who enjoy trying and purchasing unique new-to-us wines as we travel, but this evening was an uninspiring disappointment -- Three stars because we enjoyed the wines, but the experience was lacking overall.

4.00There were plenty of wines but the Tapas part was pretty light. There were only two and some of the pictures from other reviewers and such made it seem like there would be more. The view was amazing and we did end up ordering an entree that was very delicious but obviously had to pay for separately.

1.00The operator cancelled on us 6 hours ahead of the class without much explanation. They also told us to cancel through the app ourselves which required 45 minutes on the customer support chat to get a refund.
