What To Expect

The tour will start at Saigon Water Bus Station
Long An Province
9:30 am: Reach the idyllic watery expanses of the Mekong Delta itself, known as the Delta of Nine Dragons for the 9 tributaries that splinter from the main Mekong River. 10:30 am: Visit a bustling, colorful riverside market full of local curiosities, tropical fruits and all manner of fish and shellfish. 10:45 am : Turn off the delta into small, winding canals of the Thu Thua area, shaded by a canopy of foliage as you drift along lazily. You will enjoy a rowboat trip along small canals of the Delta surrounded by thousands of coconut palms, you will visit a quaint Mekong village, and then a traditional farmhouse where you’ll sample coconuts and Mekong whisky. 12:30 pm: Enjoy a traditional Mekong Delta lunch at a local family’s house. After lunch, you will visit a special pagoda. 1:30 pm: Visit a colorful Cao Dai Temple, one of the highlights of our Mekong Delta Tour. 2:15 pm: Return to the speedboat and depart for Ho Chi Minh City.

5.00This was a very good tour. We were not too many people - enough to meet some new people but not too large a crowd. The boat ride is a lot of fun and there are plenty of enjoyable stops. Anna was a great guide, especially being patient with all my questions. There is also a LOT of food. It started with breakfast (skip the breakfast at the hotel), then fruit, more fruit, rice wine tasting, lunch, and more fruit. The service is really good. Most of the staff does not speak English but they are still friendly. Highly recommend this tour.

5.00Anna was our guide for this tour. She was awesome and paid special attention to my two grandkids who were on the tour with us. Loved the local families we visited. And the food at restaurant we had lunch at was the fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend this tour. And ask for Anna.

5.00This Les Rives tour was the absolute best. At nearly 7.5 hours we covered a lot of ground (and water). There were only 7 of us on the tour. Boat was very comfortable. Anna and her crew served us a steady stream of exotic fruits, sandwiches & snacks. There was a cooler of cold water & drinks - much needed in the 90+ degree weather! The tour took us past miles of riverside shacks & waterside markets. We stopped at a fruit farm where we were served more food- and gifted with a bag of fresh fruit when we left! We wandered through the markets and stopped at a temple. Anna’s narrative was so informative - and the whole team was so helpful, especially with my husband who has mobility issues. On the way back we stopped for lunch at a nice riverside restaurant. The skies opened up & there was a massive rainstorm. The team provided umbrellas and helped us over slick bridges and paths. Highly recommend!!

5.00We had a great day on the Mekong delta. Anna and her team took great care. Everywhere we visited she explained everything and ensured we were all happy. Our vegetarian dietary requirements were taken care of too. I can highly recommend this tour.

5.00Anna took us into a charming, interesting and lovely tour. Fresh fruits all day long cruising on the river, she also made sure I could have a delicious meal while being vegan and gluten allergic. It felt safe, benevolent and enriching. Recommend 100%

5.00We had a great day with Anna on the Mekong River. Interesting stops on the way, small group of people, off the touristic path, we got to taste exotic fruits, rice wine, and a very good lunch. Everything was perfect, from the pickup in the morning and till the return to the hotel . We enjoyed this trip and highly recommend it! Thank you Anna!!!

5.00We had a really good experience on this tour. Les Rives were punctual picking us up at our hotel. Anna was an excellent, informative guide. We learned a lot from her re local life/customs, religion and so much more. She has an excellent command of the English language. We felt very safe in the boat & the team took great care of us providing lots of cool drinks and some croissants & fresh fruit for refreshment. Coffee was also on offer but we are not coffee drinkers. Each stop was well organised. There were no other tourist groups along our journey & we felt that we saw a more authentic side of the Mekong Delta. No one anywhere selling tourist souvenirs or trying to get us to buy something. Just local people going about their daily life. A really nice day trip to get a glimpse into life outside of Ho Chi Minh.
