The Forbidden City, being one of the top attractions in Beijing and the ticket is limited to 30,000 per day, it can be difficult to obtain the ticket on the travel day. So booking the ticket in advance is a must. With your pre-booked entrance ticket, skip the long lines and whisk directly inside by showing your passport at the entrance(South Gate).

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum
Please ensure to provide all travelers' correct passport number and full name upon booking. Once it's purchased, you will receive a booking confirmation. On your travel date, access to the Forbidden City by using your passport at the entrance--South Gate. This is an E-ticket, no need to change paper ticket. Forbidden City opening time: April 1 to October 31--8:30am to 4:00pm. November 1 to March 31-- 8:30am to 3:30pm. This is only for passport holders. Enter from Meridian Gate (in Chinese午门). If you take a cab, please ask driver to drop you off at East Gate (in Chinese 东华门) or West Gate(in Chinese 西华门), then you need to walk to Meridian Gate.
Morning Entrance Ticket: Enter the Forbidden City between 8:30am and 12:00pm.
Ticket+English speaking guide: Guide will meet you in your hotel lobby,then take a taxi or Didi to Forbidden City(transportation fee on your own cost)
Afternoon Entrance Ticket: Enter the Forbidden City between 11:00am and 3:30pm.
