The tour will begin at a eatery where you can sample local breakfast. The sesame balls are golden and crispy—bite into one and the sweet red bean filling bursts on your tongue, bringing pure delight. The wontons feature thin wrappers and generous filling, with tender meat and flavorful broth that warms both body and soul. These traditional breakfast items carry generations of Beijing residents' memories and beautifully represent Old Beijing's food culture.
Shijia Hutong
Shija Hutong stands as a living fossil of Old Beijing's hutong culture. Traditional siheyuan courtyards line both sides of the hutong, each like a sealed history book telling stories of the past. As you stroll through, you'll see elderly residents sunbathing and chatting by their doors while children play in the alleys, creating a leisurely and harmonious atmosphere of Old Beijing life. Here, you can experience the charm of traditional siheyuan architecture and feel the deep bonds among hutong residents.
