What To Expect
Mutianyu Great Wall
You will be picked up from your hotel in Beijing and your guide will lead you to your vehicle then heading to the Great Wall at Mutianyu Section. During a 1 hour 30 minutes drive to the Great Wall at Mutianyu Section, your guide will give you a detailed introduction and provide information about the Great Wall and Beijing City. Feel free to ask questions during the trip Once arrive the Great Wall at Mutianyu Section, your guide will show you the map of the the Mutianyu Section. Give options to get up to the Wall. According your own interest you can decide how you want to enjoy this section. Mutianyu Great Wall have 23 towers open to the public. You can choose the cable car to go up to the Wall which will take you to tower 14,then you can hiking to the highest point at tower 23.Or you can take the ski lift up and after hike to tower number 1, continue to tower number 0 to discover the non-renovated section,afterwards take the fund toboggan down. You will have 2-3 hours own time to enjoy this beautiful section of the Wall.

Then you will meet again at a meeting point at the decided time, then have a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. Sample dishes: Gongbao Chicken Local mushroom and pork Onion pancakes Muxu pork Sweet and Sour pork/chicken Egg or soy sauce fried rice Spicy beans The tour will finish after drive pass by the Olympic stadium, and your guide will then drop you off to the your hotel in Beijing

5.00Great experience climbing section of the wall even though it was a misty day. When visibility improved we could see whole valley section between watchtowers. Our guide Susan Shan really helped make the experience great and we climbed as far as we wanted. Tour had been upgraded from small group to a private tour so we travelled by car. Thanks for explaining everything on the journal Susan. Would recommend this company.

5.00Had the most wonderful experience at the amazing Mutianyu part of the Great Wall. Our guide Sherry along with our driver were very attentive, they drove us to get JianBiang for our breakfast before the tour started, it was very delicious! I would highly recommend Mutianyu, this was part of the Great Wall that we researched this area being supposedly more quieter with a lot less people. When we got there, we were amazed how true this was and had the greatest day. After this, we were taken to a local restaurant where we had some very delicious food. My husband and I both love spicy food and Sherry was very accommodating and made sure she ordered dishes we would like! All in all, it was a great day and the weather was perfect too!

5.00Brilliant tour! Barry was great - great fun to be with and knowledgeable . The wall was incredible- very busy and hot! One area of caution is to take care when visiting a tea ceremony in the tourist area - very easy to be charged a fortune! Overall we really enjoyed the tour.

5.00This tour was totally amazing mainly because of our tour guide Tony who assisted us all the time. The choice for lunch was also very good if anyone is concerned about the cuisine.
The wall is an amazing site at close quarters but I would suggest that if you are not fit do not take this trip as the walk from turret to turret is extremely difficult.
