What To Expect
You will walk through the sacred grounds of the Acropolis, with a special stop at Areopagus Hill—also known as Mars Hill—where Apostle Paul delivered one of his most impactful sermons. Addressing the council of Athens, he boldly spoke of the “Unknown God,” challenging the city's prevailing beliefs and introducing the message of Christianity to the philosophical heart of the ancient world. This stop offers a deeply meaningful moment, blending spiritual reflection and historical insight, as you stand where Paul first brought the Gospel to Athens.
Corinth Canal
Setting off from Athens, your morning begins with the impressive feat of engineering that separates the Peloponnese from the mainland, the Corinth Canal. From high up, you can enjoy the best view of Corinth's isthmus and admire the steep limestone walls while you observe the vessels below you navigate their way through the canal. The Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometres (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 metres (70 ft) wide at its base, making it impassable for many modern ships. From high up, you can enjoy the best view of Corinth's isthmus and admire the steep limestone walls while you observe the vessels below you navigate their way through the canal.

5.00We took a day trip from Athens to ancient Corinth from Athens. The trip far exceeded our expectations. George, our driver and guide was outstanding. His knowledge of Greece in addition to Corinth and how Paul’s journeys and time spent in the area was impressive. As a side note he did not join us in the ruins as stated in the description but he gave us such good insight into what we would see and what to look for it didn’t really matter. We saw the ruins of ancient Corinth, its acropolis, the ruins of the port Paul used to arrive and leave plus some very beautiful churches dedicated to Paul. There was also the remains of a road they used to transport supplies and ships across a short section of land between seas which again would have been there during Paul’s time. This was a great tour and you will be surprised by the size of the ruins. Great day trip!

3.00Enjoyed this, but incomplete. Note that this did NOT include the guide taking us into the ancient Corinth site for a tour/explanation; he just dropped us off. This was disappointing for the price and we would have preferred an actual tour of the site. We assumed this was a part of the price, but it was not in the scope. We would have chosen a different trip had we known.

5.00Our driver Stephanos was amazing. He is very careful, considerate, personable, a great driver, and he is a walking encyclopedia. He speaks great English. We went had already been to the two downtown Athens sites so we went straight to the Corinth Canal. Amazing! Then two other sites where Paul walked. Then to the Corinth Ancient Fortress hill. Per his suggestion we had a fabulous lunch there overlooking an amazing valley and mountains. Our last stop was the ruins and museum of Ancient Corinth. Just awesome. Thank you so much Stephanos!!!!
